Due to problems with day two not being allowed by youtube i have combined both days into one, hopefully it works!! 70 metre Mountain Ash removal, a two day take down in the Dandenong Ranges! Big thanks to the crew especially Kev Price who did a great job on the rigging ropes

Massive props to your groundy. Unless you do this kind of work, Its hard to appreciate the attention and skill that has to be applied by the guy working the ropes required to keep the climber safe and work flowing smoothly. Awesome climbing and cutting on your part too. Regards from the States.

Hey Dan, Thanks mate. Yeah the trees are massive here in the Dandenongs. I'd say its pretty easy to get work as a climber here, i came over on a working holiday visa which gave me the freedom to travel around Oz working and getting contacts!! I think the shallow face you can see is were we had the GRCS!There was a tree very close to this one which fell over just missing the house and disturbing the root system to the tree we dismantled, you can see it in the video. Thanks again for the comment

Nice work, David. They sure grow big over there! A couple of questions, if I may... How easy/difficult is it to get work as a climber in Aus?, and that monster looked like someone had put a shallow face cut in the base at some stage. Failed attempt at falling it by an amateur would be my guess... Keep the videos coming, I'm also a fan of Reg.

Miles optio, although science in tree biology and biomechanics is a very useful tool when diagnosing ill health or structural defects in trees. I believe your somewhat in need of a better groundsman on your rigging line! Or maybe some bigger balls. Of course the tree will move somewhat its a tree, a dynamic living organism. What's your theory with dead trees? Just curious.... How's graham mcmahons dead take down sit with you? Climb safe :D
