MUST HAVE UPGRADE !! Get the DumboRC Transmitter & Reciever!! Its got way more distance the the Traxxas Transmitters an also the receivers are only $20CAD roughly and the entire transmitter & reciever shipped to my door was $67 !! So happy with this upgrade it's a must have try it and I bet switch every car to it !!

Alot!!! The car doesn't look like that now, I turned it into a no prep drag car, it has a chassis extension, upgraded transmission, drag tires, tuned suspension, a monster 31 tooth pinion, a proline super J body, and a drag wheelie bar.

I'd say that the best street tires that traxxas sells are the Anaconda tires, but other companies make really good tires too.

Why do you need a wheelie bar?

I use a wheelie bar to prevent the front of the car from going up during speed runs. If the front stays down, the car will go faster. 🏎🏎🏎 Then during off road bashing, you can hit some sick wheelies. 🏎🏎🏎

@@RC_Racer because I have the xl-5 and I use it in a small backyard and at a park, highest it's gone is 1 inch without the wheelie bar. Any tips on making it faster without Lipo batteries?

@Rust1er on blitz to go faster without lipo battery's, you could try to put in a higher pinion gear for more speed or upgrade the motor and esc from an xl5 to a vxl brushless. Both of these will work great. 👍👍👍

@@Scootbreezy23 The wheelie bar is adjustable so that you can have it high for big wheelies, in the middle for small wheelies, and low to the ground to prevent wheelies.

It has the stock spur gear but has the included high speed pinion gear that comes with the truck. I think it's a 28 tooth.

Agreed. I have a gps on mine. With the 17 tooth 19 and 20 tooth all max speed ive hit was 60mph. Soo i ended up putting the 17t on aince the higher toothed pinions didnt make a difference other then make my esc over heat more

Thank you!! The bumper is a slash 4x4 RPM bumper, and I got it from Amazon. When you put it on, be sure to use the bumper and the piece that connects to the bumper and connect that piece to the rustler; the other piece won't fit on the rustler. You might be taking the turns too fast Or you have the TSM off. When I do speed runs, I have the TSM on so the car stays straight then I slow down and then turn around.

@Lancer I usually take the turns slowly, especially in a rustler because they can pick up speed and flip over at high turns. What kind of tires do you have on it because that might also help. The tires I use are the anaconda street tires.
