Pete was in the Ska and punk scene. Bas is a musician of 50 years. That is why they know what they are doing. Punk verses are very similar in fact. They make it look easy because they know what they are doing. A lot of slang is borrowed between generations anyway. Some of what people think of as youth slang, was actually used by their generation anyway. Thank them for crossing bridges and showing up the entire drill scene. Also, folk music when they were kids and the late 1800s in east London it became known as 'Music Hall' music, was also presented in this rthymic pattern verse style. So older people grew up with that.

It's sad to hear you do not believe these older guys can flow like they do. They have a lot more life experience to pull from, which makes their bars more believable. It's not hard to look up what young kids say today, one quick Google search. Half the things young people say we were saying years ago, everything gets recycled.
