70 years ITC - The Recap

From Tuesday the 26th till Friday the 29th of October 2021 we celebrated our 70th anniversary with research seminars, invited speakers and a diverse range of activities.
In 1950 ITC came into existence. We are now more than seventy years active in the field of geo-information and earth observation. Since then, a lot has changed. Not only has the way we research and educate changed, but also the tools and laboratory environments we have at our disposal evolved over the past seven decades. However, our core mission and ambition are just like seventy years ago: we strive for institutional strengthening. We teach and facilitate the effective use of geo-information and earth observation knowledge and we translate data into information towards tackling global challenges. Our 70th birthday provided the chance for a festive moment to reflect on our past, present and future.
