তোমাদের সাথে একটা কথা share করছি।।।আমি আগে high court এর কাছে কাজ করতাম।।।।।আমি বাড়ি থেকে ভাত খেয়ে আসতাম না।।।কারন এই কাকার কাছে সকালে পরোটা আর আলুরদম ও ঘুগনি খাবার জন্য।।।আবার 2.30 তে টিফিনে খেতাম আটার রুটি আর ভেজ স্ট্রু।।।।আবার বিকালেও খেতাম।।।।।আমার মাইনের বেশির ভাগ টাই এই কাকার কাছে চলে গেছে😁😁😁😁।।।।।দেখো কাকা দুলে দুলে খুব সুন্দর পরোটা ভাজে😁 ঐটা দেখতেই আমার ভালো লাগতো।।।।।আমি সবাই কে বলছি এই কাকার দোকানও একবার ট্রাই করার জন্য।।।।high কোর্টের F gater সামনেই কাকার দোকান

Calcutta has immense variety in street food, many dishes being Bengali versions of European originals (like chicken stew/soup, fowl cutlets, etc). Also, Calcutta street food prices are decided upon what the lowest earning city dweller can pay. So, street food is very, very cheap. ONLY ONE PROBLEM WITH CALCUTTA STREET FOOD. EXCEPT THE FAMOUS CALCUTTA EGG/ CHICKEN ROLLS, ALMOST ALL OTHER FOOD IS SERVED COLD... YES YOU'VE HEARD ME RIGHT, COLD. IF YOU ARE LUCKY YOU MAY BE SERVED LUKEWARM FOOD. IN THIS VIDEO TOO YOU CAN SEE THAT ALL MAIN DISHES ARE BEING SERVED COLD. THE CHICKEN SOUP IN THE DEKCHI IS NOT BEING KEPT HOT. BY THE LOOK OF IT, IT IS STONE COLD. NO DISH IS SEEN STEAMING.

This is not true brother. I have been living in kolkata for 6 years now. This is rare, u will get warm street food here and soups are so hot that u will have to wait for it to get cold. U might have been unlucky for having such experience.

For most Calcuttans, 'hot' means lukewarm and 'piping hot' is a term that does not exist in the Calcutta lexicon. At BEST, Calcutta street food meals are served lukewarm, never piping hot as elsewhere in the country. As a global foodie practice, meal-centric dishes are always to be served PIPING HOT. The diner can start eating when the temperature is right for him, but It CANNOT be served cold or even lukewarm. Tea is made using boiling water and served very hot. Some people drink lukewarm tea, they will wait and drink, but TEA WILL NEVER BE SERVED LUKEWARM. In Calcutta, lukewarm is the best one can get near a hot meal. I am happy for your experience, Vivek, and I wish it were universally true for the whole of Calcutta but I have invariably encountered cold/ lukewarm street food all over Calcutta at innumerable locations and at multiple outlets. So, I stand by what I wrote, NOTWITHSTANDING THE FACT THAT I AM MYSELF A BENGALEE. Interestingly, this 'cold food culture' of Calcutta has crossed state boundaries and my Bengalee friends in Bangalore tell me that in that city, except 'Oh! Calcutta', even renowned Calcutta restaurants like 'Bhojohori Manna' having branches in Bangalore are all hit by the same 'lukewarm/ cold food' disease. Even there piping hot Bengali dishes are not served. And even signature Bengali dishes like KOSHA MANGSHO and SHORSHÉ ILISH are served either lukewarm or cold ‌‌-- take it or leave it.
