Looking at a few of these in the 225k miles. Just want reliability and a project that gets me from point A-B. Love the videos man!

Clean truck man. I might get me a 7.3 when im 16

So why aren’t you having it rebuilt?
@sledhead9049 ай бұрын
700k all day. That being said people see these types of mileage and don't understand that it takes maintenance and repairs to get there. It's not free. Just give up spending or get tired of the vehicle long before the miles rack up

Definitely 1999-2004 lariat stocks with some good tires, new 2000-2004 stock mirrors, ranch hand legend full bumper, cab lights oem amber, maybe the 2002-2004 oem style headlights, new bed maybe, new paint on the hood, lot of stuff but just my suggestions, I have the oem husky liners that came with my 2003 still look like new, only wear is where the pedal hits the mat when floored

What size injectors did you use? It seems like it’s an injector problem honestly
@FullsendOffroad10 ай бұрын
I reccomend probably taking the tuner out and putting in the stock injectors. Then it'll probably go another long way.
@mrglock231310 ай бұрын
Agreed and then pull the motor and rebuild it/ freshen it up

@@mrglock2313 depends on if it really needs a rebuild.

Naw they go even further being fully built . Better pushrods , springs better turbo better parts in general . There's a ton of good companies out there that make aftermarket parts for 7.3s to make them even better and stronger and still leave them stock... I would purposely buy a 7.3 that wasn't stock .... because that way you know the man has spent thousands and thousands of dollars on strong aftermarket parts💪

Spray painting the water jugs is a good idea. With my luck ol Alan here will drink some “water” and light a cig and have a fireworks show down his throat. I will be painting my jugs now

Put a pair of players on each terminal of the glow plug for 25 sec and it will fire right up if the relay is bad

Run some Archoil 9100 with clean oil. Put a bottle of hot shots diesel extreme in the tank. Remove tuner. Put in stock injectors. It’ll go another 300k.

I vote stock injectors and pull the engine and freshen ir up 👍 its worth it and i can tell it has sentimental value

What guy’s are you thinking… My 7.3 get 225000.If I Changed injector for stage 1 ffd and a hydra will make the truck unreliable?
@JacobOverman8 ай бұрын
If ran hard or irresponsibly. Doing those upgrades basically gives you the ability to destroy your engine. The 7.3 in stock form is almost impossible to destroy.
@Antoni-m8m9 ай бұрын
Bigger injectors would make it last longer because timing and injector pulse would be lower. Now shitty tuning and not dialing in bigger injectors that would kill it overtime. Example pulsewidth was too high because of shitty tuner in say injector 6 and 7 pushing to much fuel overtime burning out rings in those cylinders then burning oil etc…Injectors are definitely knocking. Injectors could just be worn out too tho.Performance tech btw.
