veiled one = 28% chance of triggering crit from attacks, 44% from dagger (at lvl 25) methodical = 5 attacks ON THE SAME TARGET, wich can be rounded to 20% crit chance, w dagger getting chance of triggering 2 stacks (40%) + 125% crit damage from pure dps methodical is better, but i found veiled one is still the go-to cos it makes aganim so much better and in an end-game scenario where PA shines

That build in the first game was rough-late BKB, Daedalus (really?), and no Nullifier or stun? I understand the Maelstrom for attack speed and the AC, but everything else just felt all over the place. Not a real PA build at all. Also, the thumbnail was pure clickbait, and the match turned into a throw-fest. First time I’ve been disappointed by a Dotown video.

The whole point of PA is to stack the ulti on creeps and thow a dagger on a support from blur, one-shotting him starting the fight 4v5. If no creeps around, RNG does the trick. Moreover, crits help jungling. Methodical has 3% less winrate on dotabuff too. It's objectively worse

Imo Methodical is much better if you're going mid as the consistency and power spike is amazing for a ganging / early fighting PA but Veiled One allows you to farm a lot more easily, get big by end game and go ham with agh's. So Veiled One is my go-to for pos1 in a more farm heavy game. Do love me some mid PA though, blur makes early gangs so easy and picking up a styg nice and early allows you to chonk people.

I get methodical is better now that the stacks cannot be dispelled, but they still all have to be on the same target, meaning you can't throw crit daggers in lane, the stack duration still gets reduced by status resistance, and you can't go aggressively farm in enemy vision, I never go methodical, you can get mega kited, and the farming is better, I always go veiled one.

methodical either needs to be way more consistant or damaging to outweigh veiled one in my opinion. Methodical seems just too challenging to land in usual scenario, while veiled one crit can proc better, doesn't need to be on one target, facet buffs blur. So methodical seems better just on paper.
