People say he is the last street barber left in Yogyakarta.
He said there used to be others, but some died, and others moved on. Mr. Udin continues the street barber tradition, working everyday. A haircut and a shave cost 10,000 Rupiah, equal to $.70 USD. He says he keeps his price low to keep his regular customers happy.
He wants people to remember the very traditional barber of the common man.
I asked for a shave, and gave him a big tip.
