In 2016 I said good-bye to the old Defender by taking the last Heritage model on a trip to Namibia. Now I finally repeated the 7000km journey in the new Defender.

Maxim, read your Defender manual thoroughly. An Australian Defender owner found out to his astonishing surprise that his 2023 Defender would not start after OPENING his door. Reason: he had opened and closed the doors in one day at least 15 times and the computer read this. Luckily for him he was in range in order to make a tel ph call to a Landy dealership who sent a technician out with his laptop to rescue him.

Loved watching this, I have a 2203 defender 110, and it is my dream to go on these trips with my family, is it safe to do so ? I'm scared we would get robbed of everything in the middle of nowhere.
