70013 Oliver Cromwell
Preserved as part of the National Collection, the Brit hauled British Railways final steam hauled excursion 1T57 the Fifteen Guinea Special on 11th August 1968 from Manchester Victoria to Carlisle, before being exhibited at Bressingham. The locomotive left Bressingham in 2004 for the Great Central Railway for restoration by the 5305 Locomotive Association, who restored her for use on the main line, emerging from overhaul in 2008 ahead of the 40th Anniversary of the Fifteen Guinea Special.
We see the locomotive during her first ten year spell in action on the Great Central Railway and on a visit to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, were she is seen double heading with a Somerset & Dorset 7F. On the Great Central the locomotive is paired with a mix of stock including travelling post office train, passenger, mineral, engineers and also the lines breakdown crane.
We also see the locomotive on the main line on the East Coast Main Line, departing Kings Cross and heading north of Finsbury Park, plus arriving into London Victoria with a special for the Girl Guides.

Both bowls on the right facing right with one light split 2 the bowl on right has 01 cover and on the left a 7 cover That's why agent 47 has only right ear now as the pea pod for koala sub brum ear and left ear is missing Lucifer saying he still watching you 😭

Personally I think that the LMS Class 7/7F were the most striking and powerful locomotives to ever operate. For example 70000 Britannia and 70013 Oliver Cromwell, as well as the rebuilt 71000 Duke of Gloucester are among the best of British steam as Class 7Fs. But the number one reign of locomotives belongs to the spectacular Gresley-LNER Class A4 Pacific 60009 "Union of South Africa"

No one should ever be embarrased about any locomotive name. There were better named Brittania's, in my opinion, but in history there are the good, the bad and the ugly and equally the Kings of that time were no laughing matter either. Arguing over names and tearing down history is for the Woke loonies so don't feed them, before they come for your favourite loco name and rename it or pull it down! Steam is the ultimate expression of controlled freedom! We had a superb Irish physics teacher in 1968 who confiscated my pictures which I got back from the darkroom that day of 70013 taken at Carnforth. He was not impressed by Oliver Cromwell, but likewise we were not to impressed either by our Irish physics teacher punishment tortures. It is just the way of the world, things happen, he was still a good teacher,,,, well I got 3% in the physics mock, left that one behind, but I still have the photos.
