The problem with the mustangs is that most of the ones that crashed in those videos were automatic. So the wheels will already be spinning, and the car will shift up, gain more wheel speed, and the driver will lose control.

It looks like the car is squirreling around and is hardly controllable but actually i think it's a deliberate technique. Driving an AWD car on tarmac like it's a rally car on gravel. Looks like he's deliberately power sliding to fix understeer, and sawing at the wheel, all to get the car to turn and not do a AWD understeer or he's drifting to get the car straight to put the hammer down early out of turns like a rally driver. Or he's just drifting it for the crowds. Hero.

If you look at it when an open mind, driving a car with this type of power is very difficult; Considering that he is driving on a "thinish" wavy road with high speed, you can definitely see the skill in how he tries to control the car, especially when he drifts a bit to regain some control or somethin. That was the BIG BANG of the brand universe unfolding before all of us ! Soon after 320 became 340 km and goes on ...Last time i checked a Skyline took the world record from Bugatti Veyron ...

This guy should drift in some corners with so much power, because he can't use it all, or he should just install some antilag system if he want to drive like this. The problem is, that when turbo is working at max, he must instantly release gas on track where is so much corners, and he just dont have these 700 hp and solution is antilag. The stock Nissan Skyline GTR R34 accelerates to ~ 115 km / h in second gear, to ~ 160 km / h in third gear, while accelerating in cut-off to 8000 rpm. ATTESA ETC connects the front axle during acceleration, when additional hook is required to prevent the rear axle from slipping. For this reason, driving a car with this system at high speed in dangerous areas requires some skill from the driver. It is not permanent four-wheel drive or permanent rear-wheel drive. The predictability of a car with ATTESA is less readable. You need to understand the principle of operation and have at least a little experience of "communicating" with this car on the track. But in the hands of experienced riders, and even more so professionals (for whom the GTR was created. After all, it was built for racing, to homologate a car), such a system gives a strong advantage in the form of quick entry into a turn (which is characteristic of rear wheel drive) and quick exit from a turn ( which is inherent in all-wheel drive). This hillclimb is amazing. The car is amazing too, the sound is incredible. I think he is trying to drift for the crowd, but I think it actually has too much power for this course, or for this current chassis setup or tyres (not sure). There seems to be some turbo lag and then a HUGE amount of boost all of a sudden which is hard to control on this tight course. Also, the driver doesn't seem to be rev matching on downshifts rather slowly gradually releasing the clutch. That's just one more thing he's gotta think about while wrestling this beast.
