Check the shift linkage at the transmission. It is probably not fully in park. Remember you had a 3 speed automatic. It is out of adjustment.

Hey brotha. I don’t know if you know but from my understanding you’re supposed to have a special bracket for your kick down cable when you run that EFI with the 700r4. I burnt my tranny on my blazer.

Yea I have the correct bracket I just don’t trust myself to set the detent cable so I’m taking it to my trans guy to make sure it’s right

Just remember if you jack the back end up to test anything out like to test the rear brakes or somethin jack it up from the rear end housing or axle tubes not the frame or your new driveshaft will rub on the muffler.
