Today we take you on a full property tour of our 2015 amish cabin and Northwoods bull barn. We moved into this cabin November of 2023, and still have a lot of work to do with the place.
We hope to show our progress with future episodes on our channel, so stay tuned!
Thanks taking this tour with us today, and we can't wait to see you on the next one!

I'm admiring the videography and presentation skills on this video guys 👌 I'm thinking I need to up my game! Jen's pretending to type up in the office was terribly convincing lol. I'm still patiently waiting for Bryce to elaborate on the lighting situation 😅 The house is looking super clean and cosy now. It must be great to feel like you've made so much progress with it.

Thanks is for the tour! There’s plenty to do when you can afford it! Everything takes time and money. Clearing the land will cost only time, a garden once established will help sustain you. But it’s minimum cost but again takes time. It’s just a case of doing bits as and when you can afford it. There’s plenty to keep you busy that needs time spent on it before money so you’re not going to get bored waiting for something to happen. I think you have the base for a very successful home and workshop. It’ll be hardworking to get it all set up and running but as you’ve both already proved you are both more than capable of putting in the hard work! I’m looking forward to watching the place take shape❤

The loft would make a beautiful bedroom, you could build steps going down the wall and put the fridge in it , with built in cupboards, small bedroom his gaming room as he can shut the door It would be the cheaper option

I really enjoyed your video today. Loved seeing the guest cabin. That's so cool. It must be nice to be able to shower and have a bathroom after being on the road. Happy to see you work on your property and see the changes you have planned. On your last video I posted a link to www.youtube.com/@HomeFreeAlaska/videos . It shows the changes they have done to their small cabin and property. Are you planning on raising chickens or any other animals? I'm excited to watch your channel grow. Good luck you two.

I just watched a video of theirs and i really like some of the styles they chose, like staining walls different colors for an accent wall versus painting and how they covered up seams with rope. Definitely will watch more for inspiration, so thank you for the recommendation 😄 Having a bathroom has been so awesome, never taking that for granted again 😂 For animals, at the moment we are holding off on chickens because we still want to travel part time and we aren’t ready to commit, but we’d love to have some in the future to have eggs! Thanks again for watching Lynn and support our channel! 💜

Just being on grid is a game changer. Too match what you use in electric to go solar is gonna cost an arm and a leg. Just buy a backup generator, it'll be a lot cheaper. Solar is for properties that have no way of being on grid or being to far away from the grid. My camp is on grid and there is no way that I would change that. Some people don't want a monthly bill but solar is gonna be more costly than you think.
@brycerehder8372

Something I'm for sure weighing Kevin. I still have a small solar kit from a truck camper build I'm going to install and just start to see what the numbers look like before I invest any further. The 150ft pine tree's may just block way too much light to make it worth it. I do have a Honda generator as a back up for the van we could use for the house in a pinch. I'll have to figure out the wiring so we could plug the house into it if our power ever goes out. Thanks for the comment!

Good choice for log roll to keep wood near door. If u need furniture, thrift stores or even people will set on curbside when replacing. U can find free to get u buy. I hate when people throw out good furniture. I did my whole house under 200.00. Just prayed for what I needed and God did the work. I just had to keep my eyes open. Or u can build log from your woods. Enjoy your new adventure in life.

for the loft stairs: create a landing and run a real staircase against the wall. under the staircase can be built ins for pantry etc.

My only commit is that I would lose the treadmill from the home. You two are too young and healthy for that. Plus all the work your going to be doing on this fabulous property is going to keep you very fit. Maybe later you can add a running / riding track around the perimeter of property. Oh, and you could use a fireplace in the garage or work shop when you can get one. Super nice and big place you have.
