Rest in peace Irish. I still cant believe she has passed away too soon! I feel bad cause I never got a chance to see her!! I didnt know she was on a serious medical leave which took place last December. Been sick for a long time. I feel sorry for Lemisha lost both of her sisters, Irish son losing his mother-thats a heartbreaking tragedy. She will be missed. 702 will always forever by my favorite group of all time. Period

If I don't love 702 for nothing else, I love them for having the darkest sista in the front. There were & are a lot of dark lil' girls who need(ed) to see that. Hell. I ain't even dark-skinned & I needed to see that. Plus, Meelah was just beautiful anyway. And the best singer in the group. So she had a lot of reasons for being in the front, LOL.

If I have to explain it, then you don't even need to concern yourself with it. Clearly you don't understand how underrepresented dark girls are in the media. That's a BIG accomplishment to see a dark girl at the forefront. The music business--- like show business--- has very lil' to do with the music, & more to do with image. It's typically light-skinned girls who are placed as the lead singers of a group--- whether they can actually sing or not. If you're one of those "color-blind" people who can't see how one has anything to do with the other, then I'm gonna continue to let you live in LaLa Land by yourself.

Name some PROMINENT girl groups who had dark-skinned lead singers. I mean, big enough to where just about anyone one the street would know who you're talking about. I'll give you SWV & Xscape, but no one in En Vogue was dark-skinned in the least. And still, that's only 3 groups out of the plethora of Destiny's Child, TLC, Jades, 3LW'S, & other groups. 2024 Can't believe it's been 25 Years Since this Classic Song and Video. And I can't believe my baby Irish is gone 😢. She was beautiful 😍and my favorite out of the Group. 702 an Underrated Group and Deserves their Flowers 🌹🌹. Rest in Peace to Irish and her beautiful sister 😞🙏🙏🕊️🕊️
