I bought this mold & found out by others that the top doesn't really fit the bottom. Some have recommended doing the top first & cure it , then do the bottom & while the bottom is slightly soft to use plastic to put the top on it & let it do its final cure. Doing this they showed the top did fit. The problem is the mold but it can be fixed. Just thought I would share. It turned out beautiful, Michelle. Have a blessed day.

That is a good idea. You could probably do that with any jar mold. Then you would be sure it fits

@@marilynhansen7881 Louise Stapleton has but petroleum jelly on the edges then put them together so they don’t cure together but forms correctly. The plastic is a great idea.

I bought this mold a over a year ago and I found out that heating up the bottom and putting it together with the rubber bands and left it a day and then with a little effort pulled it apart and it worked out great. I've had others that no matter what you do it doesn't help. I love this mold!

I believe if you use water to measure how much resin you need, you should add a little bit more. I think what happens is resin is heavier and more viscous than water. So, when resin is placed into the mold, it causes the mold to stretch more than water does so you need a little bit more resin than water. I could be totally wrong but this is my best educated guess.

The swan mold is a booger. I've made 2 pieces and neither fits perfectly. The bottom part needs to be propped between a couple heavy things so that it doesn't bow out.

All these are very pretty. Especially the swan. I'll be interested to see how you fix it and possibly your next video using this mold. I have a question about the vacuum chamber. I'm looking at them and can't decide what size chamber to get. I always think I should get more than I feel I need, but 5 gallons(?). I just picture a 5 gallon bucket and think that would be humongous. What size are you using? And, are you happy with the size, or would you change it in hind-sight?

I use the three gallon because I do tons of silicone at a time. You probably only need 1.5 gallon.

I’m not through with the video yet you’re pouring it now. However the bubble blaster is what I call it. It was so intimidating when I first got it. Anyway my point is, the pressure would not go up. It was smoking as you said. I was freaking out, I would turn it off because of the smoke. I watched video after video of the bubble blaster. Nothing, nada, zilch. Ugh. I called the number for the bubble blaster. They couldn’t help either. So they sent a replacement. Still nothing, nada, zilch. I reread every watched every video I could find. I looked at the pressure gage again. Ugh what is going on with this. I put my hand on top of the pressure gage, you guessed it nothing. Put my hand over the pressure gage a little more pressure, where the black rubber thing is on top. Actually a lot of pressure. Walla finally working. But I was still nervous about the smoking. So I asked my husband he said it’s normal. I’ve been using it since. It just started working without me putting pressure on. I e had it about 6-7 months now. Any way the rose trinket box is so pretty. The swan is gorgeous 🐾🐾God Bless & Love to All

@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 I don’t think it is either. When I have the red handle back in line with the black handle and I bring it towards me it’s like the lid had no suction release. I do know that I have checked for leaks and made sure that the lid is on there perfect. At least it’s blasting the bubbles. I am comfortable around it now so I’m really not worried.
