Absolutely beautiful car, I love the color! My 440 1968 dodge dart had about a 550 lift solid cam a high-rise Weiand tunnel ram, 2 Holley 660 center squirter carburetors, ported 906 cast iron heads, 3500 stall and 410 gears. With me in it it weighed 3250 pounds, it ran 12.01 at 112 MPH and 11.23 at 117 MPH on a 125 HP shot of nitrous and that was at 3200 feet elevation. Fun car! Thanks for sharing the video, beautiful car!

Man, that is perfect. I rarely see a car that I don't think needs something different. Not this one. Mopars are awesome.

This is much better to me rather than a pro street. You have more usability this way and the color to me fits the car too. I love these old mopars I guess cause I had a few of them too. They really were the hogs of the road back in the day when they were running in the late 60s and early 70s.

I know of a 71 Demon 440 six-pack with a custom headers that are very similar to these, not sure about the cam at this moment, but that car sounds almost identical to this one. Very good. I'm sure the video does it no justice.

The cam is 284, 284, 484 or close to it. So nearly stock if I recall.

Not really a pro street, but too me, that's a good thing. Pro street refers to a backhalved rear suspension. 4 link is best example. I'd rather see something like this. This is real street. Mini tub max rear modification.

I think it's funny how some people think that just cuz a purple shaft is old tech they all the sudden don't work. I've owned many purple shaft cams & they still are great. I know a guy who runs 10.00 with a 3300 pound dart same cam, best et is 9.98

Nice toy, 557 by Todays standards is almost average but that sounds like plenty of duration, be interesting to see dyno comparison of that cam VS say a modern comp cam.. Did it run the 12. flat with the 391 and the dual quads or was that a different set up? Mid 70's I had a 427/425 BBC with the factory 520 solid cam in a 67 Camaro, 4 speed with 456 gears, nice streetable with smooth power but constantly adjusting the lash until I got a set of Crane Roller rockers, the BBC used to have the different length slots but the Crane rollers seemed to cure that issue, polylocks did nothing. AMAZING the power you can get in a crate motor now including strokers if you have the $$$$$ and its a proven combination compared to back in thr 60's and 70's where someone put an 850 DP on a stock 400 and ran worse than the quadrajet

Motorhome heads? I’d be really interested in hearing what flow work was done to those. I’ve got a pair of them and think the cooling around the spark plug hole is interesting, but I’ve never heard anything positive about them regarding doing flow bench work until now. Big block cast head with 10:1 compression, though?

That’s a newer dash than a 71 looks to me the is a few years not just 71 it’s still a nice car i think someone has changed the front end and back light that to me is sort of odd why the newer dash witch is 73 to 75 I know the 75 had this instrument cluster for sure a lot of guys tear the front off cause 73 and up were ugly the grill and the back end and say it’s a 70 to 72
