This is how they're meant to be: thrashed around and raced. Not sitting in some garage collecting dust. It's got nicks and scratches, but it's way cooler and much more approachable than a lot of those Barrett Jackson auction cars. At least the owner ACTUALLY DRIVES IT. @@Thevacomaticvacuumcorner what collectors don't understand is that people are interested in older cars. They're just not into putting a down payment on a house to be able to afford one. When they get old and sell them for peanuts because no one wants them, it's because they never bothered to share the interest in them. No one would pass owning a 69 Charger or Mach 1. But blowing + $75,000 US on a +50 year old car isn't worth it. I hope they become affordable again. It'd suck to lose these cars forever.

The 455 was a much lighter engine than the Hemi or the GM Rat motors. I believe they had a 2 bolt main which reduced weight by almost 60lbs. I remember a guy who had a small block 1969 350 GS supposedly pushing 280hp. When he had nitrous hooked up to the car and changed his gears to .355 that car was beating Big Blocks. In every race he was able to catch the other car in the last 400 feet and win.

Alls I'm saying is it's cool to do a burnout, all that extra stuff wave in the wheel around, and holding on the brakes, for a little extra tire smoke,, but the stretch it, and burn it up as a whole nother thing,, I think it's cool just to do a burnout heat the tires up a little bit clean them off, and run it through, at your mark on the tack, and if that's not enough for you stop and do it again put all that extra. It's just a waste, I see your point getting out there and driving it. That's the beauty of it love and respect all you good old boys and young ladies have a wonderful New Year and holidays.
