I don't think the Emmy was deserved after season 8, which is a shame cuz the cast was absolutely terrific and never let us down. If only we could say the same about the writing. I'm still very grateful to D&D for the 7 amazing season that they did give. It's just a shame that they ended the show in a flop instead of a masterpiece. But still, much thanks to everyone involved in GOT for the amazing moments and all the hype which was honestly super cool.

In GOT nothing is really unexpected. Red Wedding for example! Rob's decision to betray his oath to Walder Frey by marrying a foreign woman was the reason he got killed. The circumstances wasn't giving us "hints", it was pretty clear that his betrayal was going to end badly. Also, his mother allowed Brienne to take Jaime to his family and that left the Starks without a guarantee against the Lannisters. It just made sense. Dany's arc was built in a complete mess. So she's mad because she kills her enemies just like any other character of the show? Yes she burned people, but all of them were her enemies. And also the crucified people! Those were master of slaves, and Dany was the "breaker of chains" so in her reign slavery wasn't allowed. Those masters needed to die because they disrespected the new subjects (the ex slaves). No conqueror is free of blood, and sadly sometimes you get to kill some innocents (some masters who were benevolent). Those scenes weren't "hints" to her end. Her final moment should've been built better and even had a season to see her SLOWLY losing her "guilt" over killing people. Season 8 was just dumb and it shows how the show writers really needed GEORGE RR MARTIN guidance and books Foreshadowing doesn't equal to character development
