This supercharged LS swapped Chevy C10 is almost ready to hit the road! But before we can get our new custom wheels on this truck and take it out to rip up the streets, we have to finish out our interior. Last episode you saw Lee from E3 Customs put together a new bench seat for us from the ground up. Well now we have to focus on everything surrounding that bed. We're throwing in the carpet, getting our sound system hooked up and putting our custom upholstered trim on, like our door panels and headliner. But the crem de la crem of this episode is our custom center console that we need to build. So we're breaking out the cardboard and sheet metal and getting to work making a console to house our shifter, cupholders, ac controls, and the fancy wireless phone charging pad. By the end of the epos we have a finished interior, and all we need are some wheels on this truck to hit the dyno and then get on the road!

DIY Audio Guy did a test on his channel of sub boxes with and without stuffing. His results were pretty clear that the stuffing actually decreases db output. I've been stuffing boxes for years but never really knew why. I don't do it anymore.

Interior is looking great, love the stitch work. Custom counsels and such are so much “fiddly” work can drive a good man to drink, 🥃 new steering wheel looks amazing as well. Trucks going to be a gem when it’s done.

fuse for amp power shouldn't be any further than 18" from the battery and on the engine side of the firewall fyi. also probably wouldn't hurt to loom power/ground separately and use p clamps to secure them.

Should've gutted the wireless charger and just used the charging pad. Did it on my '64 F100, just looked like a phone holder but charged as soon as you put it in.

Genuinely trying to learn here. That middle seat is not really usable so why not go with two bucket seats and a full center console that could be more useable with storage?

The bench really keeps the look and feel of a classic truck. Swapping them out for buckets really kills the aesthetic we were trying to go for. Also, keeping the bench lets the owner's wife slide over and lean up against him while they're cruising around town, or lets them squish in together with the kids, which is what the truck is meant for!

We've had a similar set up in other trucks and haven't had much of an issue with normal city driving. If you're really ripping in and out of traffic then it'll probably slide around a bit

I hate to ask this question but what is the cost of a build similar to this in today’s economy at a shop vs in my garage another question is how long will it take at a shop trying to figure out what route to go

The orange wheels on the build are Gunniwheels. We use them when we're mid-build to move the cars around and not worry about scratching up our show wheels or having to stay on jack stands
