Good job on the video! I put the same plow on my 2018 Polaris 900 Ranger last year, and I am really happy with it. I added a hydraulic actuator, and that made it even more efficient. I am adding a Draggin' Blade (a back blade, which I hope will make doing smaller driveways a piece of cake.) It is made by CPI Divisions, West Concord, MN and they make one specifically for the 72" UTV Blade.

Nice... I've looked at the actuator and just can't justify it for the price myself. Just a word of caution about using something like that Back Draggin' Blade. If I'm not mistaken, your Ranger has a chain for going in reverse instead of a direct gear drive, like going forward. Too much stress on the driveline will break the chain and would be a costly repair.

We put the KFI wings on ours, making it a full 7 feet. On a powerful ATV/UTV like the General, it’s a beast, very impressive setup.

@btktwood what is the front bumper you have installed on the General? I love it!!
@btktwood2 жыл бұрын
@Matt R, it was custom made and on it when I bought it. If you do a google search for "Polaris General front bumper" you can see several designs that are close to mine.

I have the atlas boxed offset a arms..was wondering if you made anymore changes a 2 rope pulley setup??? Nice Bumper also....
@btktwood3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I have only moved the winch mounting point to the back most position. I really like the setup and the fact the the mounting plate acts as a frame stiffener as well.

You could add a track extension kit with the bigger tires and offset A-Arms

It hasn’t given me any problems. There isn’t much flex to it and I’ve pushed some pretty heavy snow.

Do you have a custom roll cage of so what did you go with and what enclosures I thought about so no it but wasn’t sure if I could find enclosures ps awesome video about to order one for my 19’ with lift SATV control arms and 32’s also
@btktwood3 жыл бұрын
It is but I can’t remember who did it. Somewhere is central PA. The enclosure was done by a local Amish guy for a great price.

For said you were adding lowering brackets to the mounting plate. May I ask where did you find these brackets? I have a 3in left on my xp900 and need to have these to correct the tilt angle.

Where are you located Marlo? I got the 4” ones and they are just a touch too long. I’d make you a deal on them.

@@marlowhite8967 Michigan here. I’m going to get smaller tires so the brackets will be too long. I’ve used them once to plow. I paid $105 shipped for them. I’ll ship them to you for $90. If you want to see pics give me your email and I’ll send them over.

I have the superatv bumper on mine and was curious if this would work kfi states it requires stock bumper but looking at the mounting bracket I should be fine.
@btktwood3 жыл бұрын
You are probably fine. As you can see, mine is far from stock.

Nice job on the review. Have you found a good adjustment height for the shoes? Is the one washer at the bottom still working good for you?

Can these be used without a winch?
@btktwood3 жыл бұрын
The winch is used to raise and lower the blade. You could fabricate your own system but there is nothing off the shelf available to my knowledge.

Thanks.. very informative 👏. I am really considering this set up now..I'm SATV A armed as well..only 30's and a leveling kit but this looks like it will work 4 me..again thanks. Also nice looking rig!!
@btktwood3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Glad it helped! The A arms have not been an issue at all. I have since went down to 28s though the 32s still cleared fine. I have plowed a lot of snow this winter and the plow has performed flawlessly. The only problem I’ve had is breaking my winch cable once but to me that’s to be expected with the amount of times it the blade goes up and down.

Be very very careful with the Poly Bade. I bought a KFI 50" ATV Light Poly Flex Snow Plow Blade 105950 × 1. It bent on the first time I used it. I bend it back by hand. Once you use it, it is not covered by warranty any more! I got about 12 inch of snow. That was to much for my Ploy Blade. I wish I bought the steel blade. I am trying to find a deal on one now. Good luck.
@btktwood4 жыл бұрын
Not sure about the ATV blade but the 72” blade is pretty beefy. I have over 200’ of driveway to clear and last week we had about 7” of heavy, wet snow. The plow performed flawlessly.
@BSConservativeGOAT4 жыл бұрын
You had to take a hacksaw and a hammer to ur machine to make a 1000$ plow fit?!?! Id b PISSED
@btktwood4 жыл бұрын
For something so minor? It's all good.... I'm very happy with the plow!
@coreyboelman49733 жыл бұрын
There is no need to hacksaw or Hammer, you lip the one side all the way with the hook on the mount and then slide back to center the holes once the bracket if up.
@btktwood3 жыл бұрын
@Corey Boelman I tried that with no luck. It was very minor and will never be an issue on mine.
