I've been trying all the videos techniques for the bloom all have fallen short ,so I've just decided that all these ppl with videos are just looking for the $$$$ that t hey can put into there pockets, because NOONE WILL MIX THIS COMBINATION ON VIDEO but instead swears this combination works every time it doesn't I've tried 15 different recipes all have failed in some area of the bloom,so in conclusion unless we pay to take the course of shellybloom we can't get the exact recipes & no way am I paying for this class when I've already spent a very large amount of money on all those so called fool proof recipes

Just watched video #73 on mixing paint and pouring mediums. LOVED IT!!! I have sooo many questions! Do you have a supply list of all your favorite products? I know you use many different brands. Have you ever done ocean scenes? Would love to learn that technique. Do all the TLP pigments have a shimmer to them? Have you ever added glitter or crushed glass to your pieces? When selecting acrylic paint, are the tubes or jars better? You mentioned opaque, translucent and transparent colors. Do you have a favorite? Would transparent even look good with the floral designs? When and where do you use alcohol inks? They also seem to be opaque, transparent or translucent. Was that a drop of alcohol ink that you used in the center of the green and blue tile on this video? Did you add anything to that tile to create the cells or was that just the way the paint behaved? Sorry for the million questions! I look forward to hearing back from you.
@MilkywayArtDesignBySharminKhan3 жыл бұрын
Girl let’s see if I can answer all of your questions, all the product that I used in the video should be in my favorite list, however, definitely use behr 8300, not the one I used. In Arizona you cannot get 8300 that’s why I bought that one. Not 100% on board with that one. I have not yet done any ocean scene but plan to do one in the future. Groovy doesn’t have much of a shimmer . I have added glitter, but not crushed glace. You can use tubes are jars, will get the same effect, it doesn’t matter. OPEC works, when you are using only acrylic. But if you’re mixing pigments, which were shimmery, you must use transparent or translucent acrylic. That way the pigments will show up. I don’t care about transferring to pick up transparency, all I care about is pretty colors. Are use alcohol ink to enhance my colors sometime by mixing it in the acrylic painting.I added cell activator in the center to create those cells. The recipe of the cell activator should be in the description section of the video.

So, the Behr 8300 is not discontinued, it’s just difficult to find at the moment (as are many paints because of a few factors - the TX ice storm/deep freeze damaged the supply chain for key ingredients, the transpacific shipping container shortage, and a whole host of other supply chain issues). The Behr 2-8300 is the only brand sold in Arizona, California, and some Hawaiian islands due to stricter environmental laws . People in other states should be able to get 8300. Your Behr 2-8300 seems thinner (Behr 8300 requires a lot of stirring and resembles thick mucus... disgusting analogy, but true). In your comments, you said you may replace the JoSonja with Elmers Glue All. Fascinating. It is a gloss varnish - and I’m surprised that you just don’t use all Minwax Polycrylic. If you did that substitution, however, you’re at a 1:1 ratio of paint to varnish. I love your videos, and love your art. Appreciate your sharing your technique. You should seriously consider wearing a respirator when mixing your pigments. It’s a real hazard to your lungs. Any pigment brand. Love your modified blooms. You’re a rock star. ⭐️

Those are some really gorgeous paintings that you have created.!!! I mixed the pouring medium exactly as shown ( I didn't have Jo Sana but I just used minwax instead ) but all it does is fade all my paints when mix it with them. I can't really see how this would work unless you bought some high end paints what are heavily pigmented. I tried straight Liquitex pouring medium mixed with paint it was gorgeous so I'm pretty sure it's the white paint that literally fades all the colours. Oh well :(

Modified bloom you try to retain your shapes, so paint consistencies are thicker.
