In their defense, these are pretty useful: Masamune: Cyan’s second strongest weapon and the most useful; it is non-elemental (unlike Ama no Murakumo which is Holy elemental, which can be a liability due to a lot of enemies being strong to it) and it has auto-Haste. Soul Eater: This is like a much stronger Aspil/Osmose attack. Without Merit Award, only Celes can equip it but it’s great against bosses when you’re trying to deplete their MP. Dragon Whisker: Pretty good whip for Strago/Relm.

how do you open these seals? you do that by defeating the crystals?

I beat the bosses associated with the crystals (Fire, Air, Water, Earth in whatever order) then activated the crystals.

@@Endarire So this version of the game was created by T. Very interesting modifications to include the twelve legendary weapons and four fiends of the elements. Didn't recall any of this from my SNES playthroughs, makes sense now.

According to the included HTML guide... During the World of Ruin speak to Banon in Narshe and ask about the "Legendary Weapons" (伝説の武器について). Must have Cyan and Locke in your party's roster.
