Interesting overview, thanks. I had no idea that the BBJs were so thoroughly kitted out. Pilots must love those things.

Thank you Chris for posting this brilliant description of the BBJ family. I certainly learned a lot from it. Best wishes from Paul.

Hi Paul, thanks for continuing to watch, despite your change of direction. It is always useful to keep your knowledge “topped up”

Great explanations - learned lots. Let’s me think weather boing will roll some of the MAX10 enhancements into the BBJ series allowing for greater weights and range. And possibly Airbus giving its ACJ the XLR enhancements at 319 length.. Ranges into the 7500nm ranges would rival the latest gen biz jets

Can the aux fuel system be manipulated to maintain a CG near the aft limit to improve efficiency? Is there any guidance of how much this can affect fuel burn?
@ChrisBrady737 Жыл бұрын
No, the aux fuel system is designed to be used automatically. The only manual use possible is fwd tanks or aux tanks. The line on the loadsheet represents automatic use.

Is there a separate fcom available for the bbjs? And where would I find that?
@ChrisBrady7376 ай бұрын
Yes, you can download it from MyBoeingFleet
@jenswaldram59556 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I don’t think I can make an account for myboeingfleet, because I wanted to use it for flightsim. I have nothing with the 737 IRL

Are the high v1mcgs and min takeoff weights inconvenient for what is fundamentally a bizjet? Wouldn't this limit short field ops?
@ChrisBrady737 Жыл бұрын
Possibly, it all has to be taken into consideration.
@ChrisBrady737 Жыл бұрын
Talking to a friend who has more experience on BBJs, he says that if you are below min weight for 27K or 26K then you wouldn't really need those thrust ratings. So, no, these limits are not particularly inconvenient but must of course be considered.

good god, everthing on the 737 is optional. Airbus is much more standarized in options.
@ChrisBrady737 Жыл бұрын
Not true, the Airbus family also has many optional features.

I can confirm, cooking oil spilled in the back of a truck, is very very hard to walk on without falling down. My dary air confirms it..its says it hurt.. LOL.
