Been flying this plane a lot last 2 days been really enjoyable. Not used any ATC functions but for sure it’s making a lot of progress. Hopefully they can steadily add more functions. I’ve been using plane practice LH flights until 777 is available

sadly VATSIM still doesnt support oceanic clearance via CPDLC, its all done via natTrak

regarding the autothrust, after flying that specific plane quite a lot, I've learned to flick off the A/T arm switch on the MCP when going manual thrust, even if a/t is disabled it will spool up the engines on touchdown and do what happened to you. it's a shame, since other than that and the LOC and NAV intcpts being quite awful, it'd be a joy to fly.

If the ATIS request returns as not available, try one of the other selections, enroute or departure. Usually selecting enroute has worked for me. Cheers!

I think on the real A/C accepting a frequency change on the CPDLC automatically populates the freq on the STDBY radio

Loved it! Sadly the flight model makes it less enjoyable when flying with a side stick (which is what i have), and i asked BlackBox for the flight model and obviously it's not like that, much more stable irl. Lovely addition and man, i'd forgotten how good the 787 looked 🤩🤩! great vid btw

Yeah, even with the mods, the 787 in MSFS flies like a toy. It bothers me too much to fly.

I noticed you put in the arrival in the CDU. "Sim Pilot 320" has been quite clear that one should never program the arrival on the ground, as it could confuse the airplane at a later stage. Is this a company SOP thing, or a 'hard Boeing rule'?

Actually you know what, having flown it myself they definitely sound like the default included for the GEs - Horizon does include gorgeous custom sounds for the GE engines (the default Asobo -10 is RR). If you overwrite everything or clean install every update, you’d have to reinstall the soundpack as well which I suspect he didn’t realise.

Hello A330 driver. I have sometimes experienced with the 787 in msfs that if I fly on LNAV, I get e.g. vectors from the airspace then switch to HDG, then I fly a bit on HDG before I might be told to fly directly to a waypoint! and switch to LNAV! and then the problems begin! because then it says that LNAV is armed, but the plane is still stuck on HDG SEL! and if I try to go directly to the next waypoint, it just skips the waypoint and in the LEGS page it goes to the waypoint after that I have taken direct to it. Have you or anyone else experienced this before? maybe I'm doing something wrong when I set up the plane? I hope you understand the problem

More of a different question I have an issue with the PMDG 737, anytime I rotate the 737 after a good 5-10 seconds the aircraft starts trimming itself without being in autopilot and not giving any trim command. Am I doing something wrong? I’m sure on manual flight the aircraft should only trim on trim command. Pls help

Some thing I have noticed… why does the plane yaw a couple of seconds after rotation ? Regardless of wind direction, it yaws for apparently no reason… is it perhaps a feature that I’m not aware of ? It’s been doing it in every headwind version, looks like…

@@A330Driver A Chinese pilot told me that you can indeed use cpdlc on 737's cdu, but it depends on the airline if the cpdlc is optional for the 737

No, it's not. It's somewhere in the medium range. Certainly not low end, but far from high end.

Same. Are you flying in VATSIM or just the regular sim? I don't fly VATSIM, so I assume that's why. Probably needs a live human at the other end to accept and reply, rather than Microsoft's AI.

It’s a shame about this aircraft. It’s a nice plane, but lots of little bugs, and as you said the flight model is not smooth. It’s so jerky.
