Ali, I haven’t gotten to watch your latest yet (homeschooling, garden prep and now we all have colds) but I knit just like you, could you please tell me what knitting needles you use? Double pointed and other please. Mine are cheap ones I got when I first learned to knit and they make knitting a task rather than fun. Thank you for your time, devotion, humor and intelligence 💛💛💛

Just a side note...Bernie Sanders is a senator from the state of Vermont where the maple syrup came from that I sent to you in the Fall. I live in Massachusetts, but Bernie is just adored by many for his fight for healthcare, an increased minimum wage and education access for all.

Also he grew up in NYC and is related to a famous comedy guy who grew up blocks from him but they never knew that until recently. It was on a show about finding your roots. He still has that NYC accent.

Your comment about someday living in a single house reminded my of a British clarinet teacher I was taking lessons from a few years ago.... It seems a lot of housing in Britain is attached, and a hard habit to break ! She chose or built a exactly that, a duplex house like in Britain in a neighborhood of single houses! a second rental income of course. I've started to make socks holding the sock yarn double that I've dyed with some interesting nice results, I prefer the heavier socks for Winter. Love those arigumi!

Well you'll be able to find your lovely yellow socks during the bedroom distress since they aren't all boxed up. I hope the remodel goes smoothly and that you'll look forward to rearranging those wardrobes. When we finally added a walk in closet, the first I've ever had, I was so thrilled to be putting things in that I color coded my hanging shirts. Did not think I was that person, but hey..

The gigantic cardigan is quite impressive. It’s obvious Lillia loves it!! 💖. I bet one of the girls will want the multiplication blanket. 🧶💕🧶. I have Faye’s Spiral Cowl pattern and it’s wonderful.

Brad is on my to-do list! Such a neat construction with the tail. Wow - the Jesters is actually bigger than I imagined it would be. I figured it would be maybe 3" tall total. I saw the hook you were using and thought it looked very teeny (like maybe a 1 mm). Oooo - good switch on the Ziggy Interrupted yarn. That multi peach-y one has some purple in it which goes with the Spellman colour. Such a gorgeous pattern and I love your colours!

Hi ali . I brought some cheap curlers from one of the cheapy shops , the one that are black and feel sort of like velcro. I cut the black off and your left with a sturdy plastic tube inside which I then use to stuff my necks . U can incase them in stuffing and also fill them with stuffing and because the tube has holes in it you can then sew your yarn back and forward through the tube which then stops it from floating upwards or downwards into the body x

For long necks of amigurumis I used to use a piece of gardening tube (hope, this is the right word). You can put stuffing around it, it helps keeping the shape and is washable, so even ok for toddlers and babies.

Ali have you thought about a chopstick for stabilising the Amigarumi I neck they are rounded no hard edges broader at one end & slimmer as it goes higher up the stick ! I have made 3 of the Age of Brass & Steam as a 100g skein shawl (just knit the whole 100 g ) I have done various permutations of the eyelet section & they are brilliant cosy warm without bulk 2 for COVID knit gifts 1yellow to brighten up my winter & on my 4th using Sherry Iris Hellebore mini skeins using only one eyelet section & it’s looking so fine & pretty just on 3rd out of 5 colour ways it is a great pattern I listened on audible to “ the salt path” Raynor Winn read herself & now about to start the “wild silence “ REMARKABLE story what courage 👍 from your recommendations thank you 🙏🏻
