I think it's probably best to look at the wider landscape rather than the bailing out of two reprehensible individuals. One of the problems is that there are childen involved, which leads to the second problem of how the press is likely to react should the situation result in two children being negatively affected by the downfall of their parents. The press is what it is, and it would likely turn a scenario like this into a sensation that ran for weeks. In a worst case scenario there would be comparisons between the luxurious lifestyles of the King and the Wales's, while the poor Sussex children were down-and-out. Too much of this and there's a risk that public sympathy would flip. I don't think either Charles or William would want to see the children at any disadvantage - they are decent human beings - but there is a bit of a rock-and-a-hard-place situation for the royals so it would have to be 'managed' well.

Things such as the children's education coming first, that the children would have to visit the family a couple times a year, that they be given good clothes, decent food, and regular health check-ups. That would ensure the children are taken care of, and if they aren't, then perhaps the knowledge that the family might step in to intervene sans H&M would push them to make sure the children are well taken care of. But again, this is all conjecture, and just opinion on top of that.

I believe that all charities that winger ginger is connected to should be investigated. Also, anyone that donates to these charities should be finding out what and where the money is going. Well, the settlement should come with strict conditions tied to it. I would also say NO taxpayers' money, but the problem is that RF finances are opaque. We taxpayers never see full, transparent accounts so we'll never know for sure if taxpayers' money is involved or not.
