If she ever wants to earn extra money, she could also sell a pre recorded lesson online about how to do scalp massage at home. She could have different lessons for scalp, face, arms/hands, etc. This way, the people who can’t come to Japan could still help her out. I know I’d be a customer!

I don’t how the judicial system works in Japan, but in the US, the other person broke the contract by not providing the videos. There is no way for the person to suddenly upload a video and then change the time stamp, but I’m not sure if the elderly woman knows that. I would stop paying.

Please go back and make more videos here, I've watched your videos religiously and the sounds from this one are in my opinion much better than ones in the past. The scalp sounds are actually audible and her voice and energy is so calming, definitely reminds me of my own grandparents. The other commenters were right, there's no way that contract is valid and I hope she's received some legal counseling about the scammer.

I don’t know how connected you are to the lady, but I think it would be a good idea to take the lady to the police with her story. If this is a common thing in Japan, where the elderly are being scammed, then there must also be a procedure. Be sure to take the contract with you. It sounds like the guy breached the contract anyways, as he didn’t do what he promised in the contract. This is probably enough reason for the lady to break the contract and to stop paying him.

Wow great video as always! That lady should really consider a legal consultation regarding that contract. In the US, I believe contracts can be voided if you can establish that there was a breach of the contract terms or if there was intentional dishonesty. Not sure how Japanese law deals with these situations but it may be worth it seek council.
