I love that you can hear the slurry drop. We had two slurry bombers drop on our town fire in 1988. They were there because we also had a Forrest fire in the mountains right above us. Luckily for our town. Saved our whole main street. It's on You Tube. Buffalo Wyoming.

Why are they fighting over the throttles? Does it take two guys to operate the gas?

Can anyone explain me how the crew works ? Are they all pilot and firefighters, is there pilots and firefighters working separatly ?

Why are the pilot and co pilot kinda “holding hands” on the throttle levers? So they both know their positions without having to look at them or the display? Seems almost like a power struggle (no pun intended)...?

They are below 1000 AGL and have a trainee, the trainer is keeping them from dying and the trainee is controlling the drop.

Tamos hablando de un jumbo 747 . No un avioncito cualquiera. Miles de toneladas volando a casi 100 metros de altura. Esos pilotos son unos nervios de accero sangre fria. Los mejores del mundo👍

Both captain and first officer have hands on the thrust control is usually a matter of company policy. This is an older aircraft as opposed to the Boeing 777 which as auto-throttle advance so two hands are not needed.

marvin eddy You don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. I’d recommend not talking out of your ass. 🤦🏻♂️
@brenthendricks8182 Жыл бұрын
This is a 747-400, which also has Autothrottle, though the system is not designed for this type of flying, so manual throttle control is needed. Even if you were using Auto Throttle, where energy management is critical you would be guarding the thrust levers like a hawk.
@frontagulus7 ай бұрын
@@brenthendricks8182 Not that I know anything but I wouldn't want auto-anything. I'd want the power exactly where I want it, not some ECU dialing it up and down

Looks like the shittiest CRM I’ve seen. Might as well be a Russian cockpit in 1955. Theres no reason in this day and age to have both pilots controlling power. If the dude in the left seat is going to constantly override the inputs from the right seat-then he should be the only one touching power.
