That final push out by Dake sealed his fate for match number 2
@icarus84719 жыл бұрын
That four points seems very iffy. On slow motion Dake never even went to his back. So you have one wrestler throw the opponent, never gets exposed on his back, the opponent has no control and yet gets rewarded four points. That is why freestyle is hard to watch.

***** Even if it's the correct call, it just doesn't seem right.
@TrumpMMA9 жыл бұрын
***** I agree. You shouldn't punish the wrestler for attempting a "desperation throw" as ***** put it. All that rule does then in those situations is it incentives wrestlers to be more conservative and be less offensive. We want this sport to have as much action and entertainment as possible.
@adamantfitness63979 жыл бұрын
I think if it wasnt for that questionable call, Dake would've won.
@ap2inthedeep9 жыл бұрын
AdamantFitness i doubt it. jordan always comes from from behind and wins, even the last time they wrestled dake was ahead and still lost.

Dake needs much more international experience. Ask Taylor, he went to the Yasr and got wrecked by Tsargush and Tsabalov. Dake brings his best against Jordan but a lot of the guys at 74kg are beast, I wanna see more of Dake against top flight international.

Alex R I'm surprised I cannot find this match on youtube but found a link. Thanks a million for this gem. Tsargush has wrestled all three JB Dake and Taylor and I wonder what his opinion is on who is the best. I still say Burroughs. I need to see Dake win some big international tourneys this year. Gotta stay injury free.

Dake should move up in weight. I don't think anyone is getting past Jordan.

I mean it's not like he dominated taylor and dake every single match his back was against the wall in a lot of those matches but he someone came out on top of every match it's amazing his ability to flat out win
@TheTerryE8 жыл бұрын
Taylor just needs to go home. He's toast.
@JayB28 жыл бұрын
+TheTerryE I agree. Especially considering some of the other top guys in the class like Tsargush. Its a very tough class. If Dake wants an Olympic medal he probably should move up.

4 for the move 1 for losing the challenge

It was a terrible call, that should’ve definitely been Dake’s move, but with how many times Burroughs has been down, I have to believe he would’ve found some way to win, whether he lost this match and won the next two, or double legged Dake down and get a leg lace, but that’s just what I see
@TYLERtheMAGGOT19 жыл бұрын
Uncalled for at 11:36 come on Dake. You already passed the circle.

Who is the guy that gets so excited on the call? He's awesome.
@MrTarvinn9 жыл бұрын
If you pause right at 8:01 Burroughs hand and foot is out of bounds and dake isn't even touching out... His feet are still in bounds... Thoughts? What would the ruling be on that
@icarus84717 жыл бұрын
This was a case of US wrestling protecting Burroughs, The call was horrendous. But the whole system was set up with the goal of making this just a nominal challenge, to ensure JB advanced. That meant that any 50/50 call was going to him. That type of coddling will catch up with you.

Why didn't dake get a pushout point at 1:40 in the first? Why didn't dake get points for lat dropping burroughs at 2:46 in the 2nd?
@BLitZxCluTch9 жыл бұрын
Even If JB lost this match he WRECKED KD in the next and Im pretty sure fucked his legs up. I dont think KD would have won match 3. I think JB would have carried that momentum and won. But thats just my opinion

Dake is always ahead but towards the end Burroughs always has a big move
@diamond1ast8 жыл бұрын
Points aside, Dake out wrestled Burroughs in this match. Those four points awarded to Burroughs was a weak call. Dake does not need to go up a weight class and dodge him, he's at the same level (or better), and it's just a matter of time until his hard work pays off.

@TYLERtheMAGGOT19 жыл бұрын
Well he lost and he didn't get any points after the call. It's his fault for not getting points
@TYLERtheMAGGOT19 жыл бұрын
***** then why didn't Kyle Dake try to score after that. No excuses. A lost is a lost. Plus he got teched in the last match.
@TYLERtheMAGGOT19 жыл бұрын
***** I agree with you completely. Honestly I don't know who would get the points right after the throw attempt /bad call. I think if Kyle Dake got the right call.... Burroughs will find a way to beat him. He can score in less than 20 seconds. People who wish Kyle or David would beat Burroughs are just kids who don't know that much wrestling at all. I have no talent like these guys but I know for a fact that Burroughs is amazing. The 100th career freestyle win, numerous world metals, and a Olympic gold medal says something
@ceko59209 жыл бұрын
TYLERtheMAGGOT1 Burroughs has a sort of dynamic explosiveness. Dake and Taylor may be almost as good as he is regularly, but JB goes 0 - 100 real quick.
@joshuaschwartz49948 жыл бұрын
I don't think Dake should change weight class. I love to watch these two wrestle...

awesome work burroughs in this match. stopped dake's underhook controlled push-outs and scrambles. jb's reshot off head attack/feint is second to none. proved it at nationals...put the stamp on it at worlds. best wrestler in America!

You are allowed to slap guys in the head in wrestling? I'm interested in the sport, and every time I watch this Burroughs character he is always slapping guys, hard, in the head. Is that allowed?
@jeffreyfox58339 жыл бұрын
Well you can snap the head down which is very fast and common, but slapping too much may result in the offender's opponent getting a point.
@tonygambino59059 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey Fox O.k. But this isn't snapping the head down, he is straight up slapping guys in the head. And I've never seen them take a point off for it. Does he get some kind of star treatment like, say, Michael Jordan used to where he could just violate all the rules and not get called?
@jeffreyfox58339 жыл бұрын
Tony Gambino you can smack their heads to an extent, and its up to the ref whether he calls for agression
@user-nr6xw7ry9v9 жыл бұрын
Tony Gambino what he was doing is completely legal, i do it all the time
@jeffreyfox58339 жыл бұрын
Noah Sanford I'm more familiar with folkstyle rules, where slapping the head too much will result in the "victim" (used loosely) getting a point. But an occasional smack or 2 is perfectly fine.
