Must be annoying to have a 2 day delay. Most ive had was a day delay but the hotel they put us in had the softest beds i had ever slept in and over a decade later i still remember it. Glad your flight got upgraded too.

O’Hare……the airport form hell. Something always goes wrong….cancelled flights, nights in the airport, four hours on the tarmac. It’s almost a badge of survival at this point 😂

My mom worked aircraft for nearly 20 years and my husband has been in aircraft for 13 and I still always feel sick to my stomach knowing that planes drop fuel into the oceans🥺 I know layovers are annoying, we used to fly standby because it was free for my mom so there were times we were stuck at the airport for hours on end not knowing when there would be room for us on a flight. I always got to visit the cockpit and talk to the pilots though because my mom worked for an airline company at the time so it made for some cool childhood memories and made up for the lost hrs we spent waiting!

I flew as crew on long haul flights for 35 years and your preflight diet absolutely terrified me. You must have absolutely destroyed an inflight bathroom! I would eat very light and not much to avoid the stomach pressure from the atmospheric pressure differential. Plus I had to share a very small space with up to three other pilots. That was just a courtesy. And on layovers we only ate garlic if we ALL ate garlic....Nice job.

Chicago ramen is LEGIT. They do real Japan ramen, mostly untainted by American trends. Iirc the owners also own Tsujita Annex in LA which is one of the few spots in America doing Jiro-style ramen
