I'm enjoying your journey. I started on the budget track about 5-10 years ago. It is constantly amazing me how little I can spend to live a better life than before budgeting,, and save the rest. Before budgeting I thought I didn't have enough income to even pay my bills. After budgeting I'm realizing I have enough income with quite a bit left over for savings. Have listened to several of your videos and am impressed with your progress. You have thought about many important things. I also track my net worth. I just started watching your channel. I am debt free but I am interested in money management as you are. I think this is great that you are teaching this and young people are learning from you. We are retired and in our 60's and I am so amazed at how many of our peers and relatives at our age have mortgages and car notes and credit card debt. It makes retirement difficult or impossible. Really like seeing this kind of video from you. Thank you. Yearly recalc-update would be great. Also, if you have extra funds a good thing to think about would be to pay extra on your mortgage especially in the early stages so it starts helping to get rid of your interest. We weren't debt free yet when we started paying 100 extra on mortgage but quickly raised it when debt free and the principal payment portion started growing. 6 yrs later we are on track for the house to be paid quite a bit early. Your (amazing) financial statements are so very (amazing) Sarah. Of course, you are part of a couple, and Jacob has very own, very Jacob, income, expenses, goals, and strategies. Do you coordinate your finances in any way? Use similar tracking devices? Discuss individual savings goals for joint expenses such as travel? Or do you each have completely iindependent financial management styles?

I'm currently working on around 40g in debt with a family of 6. *we need another bathroom lol. So no debt means we can move. AND then work on paying down new mtg and building net worth. OH! Yes, I have a question. Regarding your mtg: are you planning on paying it off sooner than it's due? Meaning, extra principal payments? 1000 extra per month would really speed up the payoff date which will also help you build net worth quickly. This is what I would tell my younger self.
