I could guarantee that Israel is good on the ground, maybe not THIS good...Israel is extremely good at stuffing and defending takedowns which makes it very difficult to get him down on the mat o begin with. When a fighter is fast and has great all around defense like Israel it's hard for ANY fighter to find a way to win...Israel also fights with his hands lower than his opponents field of vision which makes it hard to "telegraph" his punches, he can do this cuz he's very fast and in most fights has a significant reach advantage.

@@amodernalchemist432 Well in a very recent interview Eugene said that there are other parts of Israel's game that are immaculate and haven't been displayed in the octagon yet, and then alluded towards it being his wrestling. I don't know why people bag on the Jones fight so much considering that Israel is clearly better than most of LHW division and other people have said that he was so much better than Anthony Johnson when the two trained together.
