Journey and Destiny. Two words that clearly define the ascension of Mayor John Dalipe to the presidency of the 3rd oldest chapter in the country - JCI Zamboanga, Inc. From his humble beginnings as an SK Chairman in his Barangay, to rising up to the occasion and being elected as one of the youngest Barangay Captains of Tetuan, he has clearly transcended all expectations from a young registered nurse hoping to make a difference in his La Ciudad de Zamboanga!
He was the number 1 elected City Councilor in 2019 under the second district and became the youngest Mayor ever elected in Zamboanga City in 2022 at the age of 38. But before any of these were to materialize, he got his dose of leadership training from JCI Vinta. He joined the chapter in 2005 and served on numerous capacities before transferring to JCI Zamboanga, Inc. where he was then elected as its 76th local organization President.
