I just put a pertronix ignition in my 76 scout with the 196 engine (actually still in the middle of it) and your video has been a huge help. I’m currently cleaning up my wiring and I’m wondering if removing the deceleration pump ever gave you any issues with stalling? Did you remove the whole box and vacuum lines?

Also! Come to find out the problem was the GM style ignition switch in the steering column. After refurbishing the switch (cleaning contacts and lubing with di-electric grease) it received full 12 volts to the coil. Big Difference!
