(772) Acrylic pour FLOWER painting ~ CUP BOTTOM reverse dip ~ Fluid Art tutorial ~ Paint

You must see this AMAZING acrylic pour FLOWER painting!!!
PROCESS:
Pour your base on canvas
Put your FLOWER SHAPED DESERT CUP on the canvas with bottom up
Pour paints on the bottom and use PEARL WHITE or some metallic paints between each colour to create petal - lacing effect
Take off the cup
Use SKEWER to draw some petal shapes
Gently put PAPER NAPKIN or towel on canvas ( You can use dry or damped napkin)
Lift one corner at the time and then gently lift it (the middle last)
Torch it for air bubbles and to activate pearl white and metallic paints
And here is your flower :)
TECHNIQUE: Reverse flower dip with paper napkin, Cup bottom pour
MATERIAL I USED:
10x10 inch canvas
Acrylic paints mixed with pouring medium
Flower shaped desert cup
Paper napkin or towel
Wooden skewer
Palete knife
Torch
COLOURS I USED:
Amsterdam titanium white + Deep gold
Vallejo quinacridone burnt orange
Decoart extreme sheen garnet
Pebeo iridescent precious gold
Pearl white
My pearl white mixture:
1 part Vallejo pearl medium
1 part titanium white
2 parts pouring medium
All my paints are mixed with Boesner Guardi acrylic binder and acrylic emulsion.

Lovely. When you pull up the paper towel, I myself give it a small twist just before I pick it all the up. It gives it a nicer center when I do that. Of course, I haven't been able to get those lovely cells that U get, which are so lovely!!

I'd love to see what pattern would develop if you put the used "'painty" napkin on another canvas and unfold it, press it down and lift it up again. Have you ever done that? The flower is beautiful. I don't see buff paint added very often. It looks lovely here.

I love your flower dips. When I try using US paper towels the texture is just not right. I've seen the fancy two ply napkins, like the ones you put out more for a party, and they are two ply. Do you think splitting these to one ply might help? I love painting. Like Obsessed. But the towels In using just don't seem to work out right. Any suggestions? Thank you for all your instruction. I just love your work. I is expensive and I have paint everywhere but people seem to love my pours. How did you start out selling your work? I'm like you, a shy perfectionist. I just have to get out there and find some galleries and consignment. I would be so grateful for any advice you have. Thank you lovely, talented lady!

You can mix them only with water, but effects will not be the same 😐 Every technique needs different mixture 😉

Yes, I love it too. Try using a smaller napkin next time. I can see the huge amount of paper dragging over the flower when lifting it up....if napkin was no more than just half inch over canvas that would help to minimize dragging paint inward....

Aloha from Hawaii.. The napkins you use are not regular table napkins, are they? I think the napkins are the kind you put in the bathroom as a 'guest towel'. Not found in regular stores but maybe found at speciality stores like Bed Bath & Beyond, found in the US. Can you give us the info on what napkin you're using> Thanks.
