(Old subscriber, new account) FSX is getting one last chance on my rig. If it won't behave, P3D or X Plane is next. Its always amazed me how your and my rigs have had strikingly similar specs, yet your machine performs so much better on FSX. I rocked FS9 up to last year because of it, but since the dev community has all but dropped FS9, I need an alternative. While it may be an un-optimized pig, FSX is where the big name devs are. But they seem to be eyeballing P3D pretty hard. You think FSX still has a few years in her? Or do you think P3D will be the next big flight sim?

Hi Jon. Hoping that you see this, how do you like the performance of P3D compared to FSX? I'm in the process of building a new desktop and want to gauge the specs necessary. I understand FSX requires a lot of single core CPU performance, is the same true for P3D?

I notice a performance increase for sure. P3D manages to utilize more GPU performance than FSX could so obviously having a better card is better in the case of P3D. Thanks so much for watching.

Nice video and graphics. But i do think the aircraft reflections are not as realistic as they should be. In real life, they dont reflect like that, but keep up the great work :)

Jon left at the right time, FSX is going down now. Isn't as popular as 5 years ago. Lots of big FSX youtubers have stopped. Even I've got rid of all the FSX content I had on my channel.

I know right, I started getting 'big' just before the downfall of FSX, hit around 230 subs, and was actually rising quite fast, considering I had about 30 FSX videos on my channel. Was a lot of fun, but all is history now.
