After seeing How Boeing made bombers flying back with only one engine and a broken wing during WW2 That people would believe Boeing planes are safe and tough. But ever since the 737 Max breaking records for its' problems and multiple crashes That people started doubting Boeing. Then comes the whistle blower incident as the chief quality assurance manager came out and complains of faulty parts are Being used which followed by a bunch of impossible Accidents That eroded Boeing's credibility. These days passengers will Try to avoid Boeing planes when traveling.
@thomdigiacomo51544 ай бұрын
When you develop the largest most fuel efficient engines you will always have teething pains. The airbus A 380 experienced stress cracks at the wing roots where the wing joins to the fuselage. The 747 experienced several engine issues initially with extreme engine surging due to ovalization with the inner casing of the engine. These issues unfortunate are a part of development especially when cutting edge designs are being used. There isn’t a airplane design that didn’t experience some issues with either the design, the engines, or materials used. These are innovative designs that improves the commercial planes we fly on both from an efficiency standpoint as well as impact on the planet. Boeing presently is under extreme scrutiny however unfortunately issues that arise that are normal during development the media uses as Boeing bashing which gets more viewers and generates more money for the media. We must be more discerning as to what issues are due to negligence and which issues are common when developing cutting edge technology.
@williamlewandowski1294 ай бұрын
The longer it takes for Boeing to create and deliver the new 777 only makes it that much better. Design issues are best caught prior to delivery. I can attest that the number of changes to early delivered airplanes is tremendous. Remember the old saying, never buy a first year new car. Continuous improvement applies to all products, compounded greatly with a complex product such as a large commercial airplane. Manufactures should never build a new type airplane in less that 10 years. It takes time to mature such a complex product. Do not rush it!
@Davoo_cik3 ай бұрын
That is entirely true, the more problems they resolve, the better the plane will be. Also, if they fix more problems, the less likely the plane crashes or has failures. This will result in a more successful aircraft. So yes, the longer it takes for Boeing to upgrade/create and deliver the new 777x it only makes it way better.

Oh and the astronauts that flew up in Boeing’s Starliner now will return on the SpaceX Dragon because Starliner has too many issues. The Boeing 737 Max line is plagued with issues and certification issues. People died because of those. The 787 is a nice plane, but has its own problems and seems to be overtaken. A major _success_ for Boeing, and for you and me, was when the door blew off during testing. The purpose of testing is for a catastrophic failure to happen on the ground in a wind tunnel with nobody hurt - not thousands of feet up hundreds of people on board. Maybe in an alternate universe/timeline, that door blew out of a packed plane at 38,000 feet, becoming that reality's worst air disaster, being added to the list next to the 737 max... who knows... So we can be thankful that it didn't happen during actual flight. _That's_ a success.
