77mph vs Telescope(s) - The worst happens.

Another reason why 2020 was a "not so nice" year.
November 17, 2020, Two telescope setups are blown down by unexpected and unpredicted winds (NWS). (Spoiler) Both scopes are taken out by the strongest sustained winds (77mph) I've measured from a weather station on top of the cabin.
Location -Eastern Sierra Mountains - June Lake Ca
Equipment: RASA 11" on Myt mount and Berlebach Planet Tripod
AND RASA8" on 10Micron 1000hps mount and a Geoptik Hercules Tripod.
Damage is mentioned near the end of the video.

Thanks for posting your cautionary tale Dan, it was painful to watch. But on a brighter note, your comet capture was fantastic. Glad you have USAA, they’re the best.
