785 - HGBF Gyancelot (OOB Review)

Here's the High-Grade 1/144 scale Gyancelot! Gyanko has outdone herself with this one! This kit is pretty awesome! The new lance weapon is super cool, and the inclusion of the Revive Gyan's weapons is also nice! Definitely worth picking this one up!

yeah usually HGBF kits aren't as detailed, but it's based on an HG Revive kit, so that's where a lot of those nice details are coming from I think.

hi guys, im new in gundam/gunpla world. are the zeon (universal century) mobile suits is made/design with mono eye?

Zeon in the Universal century are basically the "bad guys" of the Gundam series, with the Federation being the "good guys". Of course, there are exceptions, with some heroic Zeon soldiers and some corrupt Federation soldiers. About the mono-eye part, most (And I think maybe all) Zeon Mobile Suits do have mono-eyes, probably so the won't be mixed up with the Gundams and other Federations suit, who will have 2 eyes or a visor.

Do I need to mask the parts when I am going to hand-paint the gold details? I mean, will it help me better than just going bananas with my brush and and thinner for clean up?

yeah, would probably be extra safe to mask, but if you've got a steady hand you could get by without.

I just watched Try Island Wars yesterday and the Song Dynasty Vase Team mobile suits are definitely looking the most appealing to me. Anyone else watched the OVA? I found myself sort of disappointed with the original Build Fighters Try series in making the Gundam franchise into a really shonen series, and this OVA sort of made it worse. You'll understand if you have watched it. I'm not really looking forward to the Build Fighters anime series in the future if it continues like that, and I bet it will. I guess I'll just watch for the mobile suits then. As for the Gyancelot, I love the fact that the spear.... SPOILERS kinda? . . . . . . . . . . . . . ...opens to form the Neo Zeon logo. One of the best parts of the OVA, made me fanboy so hard.

Pretty much the only good thing to come from the new OVA. My god was it awful. And yeah, Bandai can't into gold, at least not in the HG line. For a relevant example, the gold on the R-GyaGya is also terrible but thankfully it is very easy to fix.

Hey ZakuAurelius, great review, too bad I'm not too interested in the design. Don't know if this is too out of topic but when I was checking out the mobile suit designs for ibo season 2, the McGillis Schwalbe Graze was shown to return in season 2, probably to make up for its very low screen time in season 1. There's also going to be a new graze ritter recolor with a blue and yellow color scheme. Want to know your thoughts on this and continue with the awesome content!

Hate the stickers. To be honest not a fan of the Gyan whatsoever, though the REVIVE makes a good case for it in terms of quality. But... this Gyancelot. Wow, just cranks it up to 11 and Im really liking the look here. Not sure about the backpack "cape" but everything else looks pretty great. I'll be snagging this one up and trying out some custom stuff.

Was recommended to chack out your videos, and this was the first one I decided to watch. It was a pretty good review overall. That said, however, he sounds really nervous, almost like he might mess up saying something. And there were quite a few times where he just stops few a moment and then continues. Not an issue by any means, but this video also lacked energy and enthusiasm, which made it a bit of a snore to watch. Maybe the later videos won't be as bland, will have to check them out to see. In short, good review, low energy.
