I agree. I’ve been a fan of them since I was 9 when “Into the Rush” came out and I always wondered as to why they never got the same amount of attention as some of the other female Disney Channel stars who went on to music careers like Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez. With them being a duo and sisters in real life, you’d think that both of them as their own entity would have gotten a bit more attention, but I’m still proud of being a fan of theirs for about 15 years. ❤️

They named there album 10 years because they didn’t release one for 10 years. Took on a new name 78violet which has a whole unreleased album from 2009-2016. They also are not signed to a big label anymore they’re independent.

It's so crazy, they seemed to be destined to go further down the rock road, but then switched. I was honestly surprised. Pretty much all Disney artists go full on pop and never look back. I was looking forward to them being the ones that changed that stereotype. Nonetheless, I really like this new song. Not big on their two EPs, but the edge of this song is really good.

@@sephjy1370 I also like that they have a new sound each album. It keeps it original and makes it timeless. Not every album will always be my cup of tea, as I like some genres more than others. But, I respect their creativeness. They are great singers and musicians and I always look forward to their new music. I’ve always wanted to hear them venture down a legitimate rock n roll sound, maybe even a hard rock/grunge sound. I think it’s because I’ve always been into the 90’s era of rock more than anything. I feel like they could pull that off. Maybe one day… lol

@@GotoMaki4Micah For what it's worth, Aly & AJ had been doing the 80's aesthetic since 2017 and even though they are far from the first artists to use 80's influence during the last few years, they are definitely ahead of most of those guys. If anything, hearing this song, they're starting to experiment more. But honestly, what do I know, I've never cared or paid much attention to musical trends anyway.

I acknowledged that 80's influence has definitely going round for a while, but I was just not really seeing it in mainstream music until after 2017 (btw I might be waaaay wrong here). I specifically meant that Aly & AJ was slightly (perhaps, barely) ahead of the artists mentioned by the person I replied to (I checked their KZbin btw if those artists did 80's influence in or before 2017. They didn't, as far as I could tell). Also, judging by their recent album (A Touch of The Beat), I maintain my personal opinion that they don't really care about trends that much!

YASS BERLIN!!! I live here! I'm actually five stops away from Alexanderplatz where the majority of this video was shot (East Berlin). I thought the cinematography was good, but I kinda wish they had crammed in some other locations (as this city is location heaven- literally Hunger Games 3 and Matrix 3 were shot here). They actually could have spiced it up with only other U-Bahn [metro] stations (ie U-Gleisdreieck with industrial steel or U-ICC with iconic vast space with orange tiles) - there really is stunning variety here.
