I came here through a maze of late 90s/ early 00s Disney nostalgia because I want to go back to that time. I had no idea they were still making music but it’s poetic that I found them now and that this song encapsulates how I feel about the current times. Such a big tone change from then to now.

I will never as brought to tears as I am with the honesty and pain I have always felt through your music, but when it’s about an issue pressing our country so heavily, I had felt nothing heavier. I will always be grateful that you are not only brilliant musicians, but also human beings who use their space to try to make things better. The two of you and the band did another excellent job, but a huge part of me wishes I didn’t have to live a world where this song exists. Thank you both for continuing to use your story to make the world a place baby Jack and my little sisters can feel safe growing up in 🫶🏼

THIS is so important! Im sobbing. I'm scared for the future of the children in my life too. To Americans: No matter who is in office, we cannot get complacent. The roots of trauma and their consequences are so overlooked and violence in the form of policy is so normalized here. Not having affordable healthcare as a rich nation when every other developed nation does IS VIOLENCE. The outcome of that is immense suffering, crime, and death. Both parties are beholden to corporations so very little gets done. It's ridiculous. WE NEED REAL CHANGE. Don't stop holding our politicians accountable no matter how much you like them or think they are better than the other guy. They will always do the bare minimum when they think their position is safe simply because "the other guy is obviously worse". Please don't forget this. Don't get complacent. If Kamala gets voted in and doesn't start using her power to put the pressure on our legislators to finally get rid of corporate lobbying or doesn't AT LEAST start heavily pushing for five star voting(or ranked choice)... she's not serious about democracy. And if we don't substantially weaken the hold the duopoly and their rich donors have over our democracy, we'll just have a Trump/MAGA 2.0 and it will be more successful than the last. Small changes here and there that will only be torn down by a republican down the line IS NOT ENOUGH. We need A LOT of change and we don't have much time left. the slow and steady approach is going to get our loved ones killed by this burning planet.

Kamala is a puppet of the deep state, who wants to go to war because it makes the deep state money (listen to Eisenhower's exist speech, he warns us about the military industrial complex). Trump is a brash egotistical maniac. We cannot win either way, but Trump is the only one outwardly against war, weirdly enough, he's a fucking lunatic so it's surprising. But potential warfare is one of the TOP priorities all humans should be focused on because we are on the brink of it every day, and this time, nuclear war is on the table and potentially imminent. Our government just began funding research programs to look into what agriculture would look like during and after a nuclear war. This administration is more focused on the aftermath of nuclear war than stopping it. They all have safety bunkers, so it doesn't matter to them if the plebeians all die. So unfortunately, I have to vote for the one candidate who is outspoken and takes action to diminish possible warfare. Even though he's a complete assface and I'm disappointed that these are our two choices. We're just free range slaves it's fucking ridiculous.
