#79 “A Free Spirit” Acrylic Paint Pour Diptych with a Little Swipe Action & Lacing That Won’t Stop!
So I am just in love with this technique, inspired by Molly’s Artistry. The simplistic but dramatic results you get are always a joy to witness happening on the canvas. Stretching out that lacing and watching it get bolder is amazing!
Colors are listed in the video. Pouring medium used was a combination of 70% Floetrol and 30% Creative Inspirations Polymer Gloss Medium & Varnish. Used at a 3:1 ratio with the paint.

**I got into acrylic pouring after playing around with epoxy resin and wanting to do some art with it. After realizing the amount of time it took to prep and clean up, it wasn’t quite as appealing to me anymore. That’s when I stumbled onto some KZbin videos about acrylic pouring and I WAS HOOKED. This was in 2020, and with COVID running rampant, it was the perfect thing to keep me occupied and staying home, safe and sound. This art form is extremely cathartic and empowering at the same time.
There’s no greater feeling than pouring paint on to a canvas and watching magic happen before your eyes! I’m so honored to be displaying my work in two local restaurants here in Houston - so exciting! Thank you so much for coming along on this journey with me!**

Hey Kathy! I mention it in the first video I did using this technique - this is a Molly inspired swipe - she’s done several series of them. The Creative Inspirations medium is in her recipe. She also talks about how SoHo products are more reactive in her experience, so that’s why I used those SoHo colors.
