Good product and good review, doesn`t beat just looking over your shoulder as all drivers should do, I don`t trust tech but I do trust my eyes and ears.

@michaelhunter3471 Thank you. That is exactly correct, no BSM can be trusted 100% but it's still very very good and rarely does it make a mistake

It is surprising that blind spot notifications are provided even when the speed is the same or when I am faster. Your Alfa Romeo's 77gHz dual radar doesn't seem to recognize it at the same speed. What is it actually like?
@SHORTwithTECH20 күн бұрын
@xd400 Yes any moving object in your blindspot Irrespective of the speed it's moving at will be detected unless of course its stationery. The 77Ghz system on the Alfa is no different, maybe it just looks like it in the video. There are definitely noticeable differences between how the single sensor system performs when compared to the dual sensor system though and one of those being the single sensor system is less suseptible to false triggers then the dual sensor system

Good video, Will the 3D version work on a Ram 1500 truck with a steel bumper?
@SHORTwithTECHАй бұрын
@johndonadio3312 it won't work mounting the radar sensor behind a steel bumper no. You would need to mount the sensor externally or mount it higher or lower then the steel bumper

First time watching one of your videos. Im wondering they have one with the back up monitoring built in as well. I bought one of those backup systems for my dads van but never got around to installing it. Hes older so i thought this would help him.
@SHORTwithTECH4 ай бұрын
@myshots101 This BSM system does have backup monitoring included but as seen in the video, it's not really the best system to use for that purpose. I don't recommend using a BSM as a backup monitor, I would recommend you install something like this into your dad's car to use as a backup monitor kzbin.info/www/bejne/faGUeYyqj52qqcUsi=F0WslhU4gz0OjMhI it works very well

hi, i have a doubt . if the car has reverse sensor from factory this sensors can be used for blindspot monitoring

@anielaguila7146 no you can't do that, you must use the sensors supplied with the Blind Spot Monitoring system

Hey man, i have been following your videos for a while now, i was wondering if you can explain more with how the control unit gets connected, and also the wiring at the indicators
@SHORTwithTECH2 ай бұрын
@dugix2292 For the indicators there's just 2 wires, put one wire to the left indicator bulb and the other to the right indicator bulb. The power wire goes to switched ignition and the ground wire goes to the chassis ground. If that doesn't help, let me know what you need to know as I'm in the process of making another BSM video at the moment and I'll add what you want to see in that video which will be released as soon as I have finished it

@dugix2292 No problem, the single sensor system is definitely the easiest of them all to install and it works really well so that was a good choice. Good luck with the install

@@SHORTwithTECH Did you just connect the white and blue wires right on the metal that the bulb plugs into, or did you connect them to the metal on the actual bulb? The video is great, but this is the only part of the installation I am a little confused about. Thanks!
@SHORTwithTECHАй бұрын
@jstanich No, the metal part of the Light Bulb is the Ground connection. You connect the white and blue wires to the centre filament connection which is the wire that reads +12 volts everytime the light flashes, you can find this wire using your multimeter. Thanks

Can you still buy the single detector version ? Your link goes to a different product now. Would like to install the single sensor as my vehicle is a small hatchback so probably doesn't require 2.
@SHORTwithTECH3 ай бұрын
@A7mag3ddon The link is still correct, it's for multiple versions. You need to choose version D3 for the single sensor version so you just click on add to cart and then choose D3. The size of the vehicle does not matter, the single sensor version is definitely just the easiest of them all to install but that's all
@A7mag3ddonАй бұрын
@@SHORTwithTECHthanks, I got the BSD delivered, was there supposed to be some kind of measurement tool in the box or does it just need to be mounted 90degrees facing away from the rear?
@SHORTwithTECHАй бұрын
@A7mag3ddon There is no angle or calibration tool required for the single sensor system, you just mount the sensor 90 degrees, horizontally straight as you said, it's a very easy BSM system to install

I got it (77ghz). A lot of false alerts when turning at intersection
@SHORTwithTECH4 ай бұрын
@dtdyeulnc For the dual sensor systems, mounting the radar sensors at the correct angles without obstruction is very important, if there not installed correctly it will result in false alerts.

@@SHORTwithTECH I want to buy one but I am confused. 77ghz has start speed 10 yards and 79ghz has start speed 20 yards. Both of them have detection distance 50m. What is ‘start speed’ and which one is better? Thanks
@SHORTwithTECH3 ай бұрын
@roller012 Using it as a BSM your not going to notice any difference. The start speed is when the system is active to detect an object e.g.With most 24Ghz systems they have a start speed of zero so you can walk around the car at a stand still and the BSM system will detect you, with the 77Ghz and 79Ghz systems you cannot do that, it helps with false triggering. As for which one is better, we'll the 79Ghz single sensor systems are easier to install as there's only one radar sensor to mount and it can be mounted straight in the middle of the rear bumper, but as far as performance, you will hardly notice any difference between the 77Ghz and 79Ghz systems so if you want something easy to install go for the 79Ghz, else go for the 77Ghz. The 24Ghz is also good but not quite as accurate as the 77Ghz and 79Ghz, hope that answers your questions
