I've known this song since it was released yet only 22 years later did I notice the subtle change in tone (0:37) when she sings "I like you the way you are". It's the kind of small detail that makes a very good song even more memorable. I was a teenager at the time and now well into my 30s I still feel this song remains entirely relatable and relevant.
