This song is so special to me. My only son passed at age 27. He loved crosses. I had one made about seven feet tall with three stairs surrounding it. I was talking to him at the cemetery asking if he wanted our names inscribed. I drove home and in my driveway I started crying begging him to let me know what he wanted on the three stairs then Stairway to Heaven came on. The rest is history and his cross and stairs are beautiful and so is this song.

Now 62, it's an amazingly deep message that wasnt fully understood by even the singer. We all interpret individually, yet we are all as One by design. For me, individually, i made my choice of road to take...like a rock i stayed on that road leading to the stairway of heaven...very treacherous road as at every byway, crosspath, there to allow others in the woods to find the main road... the only road to the stairway...for my walk, offers to take the shiny, glittering, beautiful, road to riches never ceased to oull me off my road...i bought into heaven...didnt roll off my path, my road, my walk...what a battle i have survived!!! Even now, today, shiny objects are offered to me from every byway...i will not roll...everything will still turn to gold for me...and those like me...we are all one and each one is all ....journey to where you choose...i follow only one piper's musical message...spoken words indeed can have two meanings...your choice in life, you will be led to go deeper to study, learn how you will succeed (and at times, like the singer, not even get it...but ...you know in your soul "right" vs "wrong" and will stay on your road/path" thru life's experiences...the joy, the pain, the heartbreaks, the success, the love....all of it...for me, every stage of my being, told that i carry white light and it is seen (unknown to me), i touched gold, glittery things in awe of their beauty and power...but never rolled of my path...and things for me, will still turn to gold...my "gold" doesnt cost $$ and i only needed enough to reach my dreams. I did. I succeeded. Retired now, enjoying still waters, peace, serenity....and i dont have time or need of the offers of shiny objects and i will no longer entertain those offering if i just roll off my path. Enjoy your choice of road. My road is peaceful.
