This is officially one of my favorite tracks of the whole soundtrack. An excellent assortment of instruments (such as the xylophone, if that is the right instrument, and the string plucks) makes this an astounding remake, and a real treat for the ears. When I listen to the original, I can't help but think of how this is such an improvement over the original. The strings, beginning for the first time at 1:11, adds such an exotic feel.

It's just because of the arpeggios following a 3 3 2 pattern, which is a really commonly used rhythm

To be fair, it's not the same chord progression as Clocks! But yes, they share an arpeggio accompaniment and (I think) Dark Cave/Ice Path is in the relative Minor key, so there are some similarities!

It all comes down to opinion. I prefer this version, because of the greater variety in the instruments, that make me feel as if I were in a cave, or an ice cave, specifically. Also, I enjoy the DS era feel added to it, mainly for nostalgia reaasons.

I prefer the chiptune version. This one isn't bad, just... it feels too tranquil and dainty. The OG felt gritty and real.
