Xu Ziyin needs to be more selfish. I am so scared she'll get eliminated. Mnet is known for evil editing but Xu Ziyin needs to be able to show off with a killing part or have a main vocal role. I've been watching her for a while so I know she probably had a lot to do with the harmonies in this performance. It's a shame someone who has spent 15 years of her life trying to become an idol gets no backstory, as well as no screentime. Ziyin deserves so much better. Xu Ziyin was passed auditions for SM, Cube, and JYP. Why won't Mnet show that? She is one that a lot of people would relate to. She has a master's degree and produces her own music. I hope Jiyoon doesn't lose her confidence. She was sad but still ended the performance beautifully. And we all know how comfortably she was pulling it off before. It just wasn't her day during this evaluation. And for the rest Ziyin has my respect. After last episode Reina she is another gem of a performer that got ROBBED. Jiyoon actually was straining a lot even during the tryouts. She couldn't perfectly hit it with support. As tiffany said, she is a really great vocalist that can emote so well but a great vocalist need not pull off every song. She is extremely good in her range and hopefully she understands that and doesn't get discouraged. And chaehyun!!! She killed it! I love her voice. Her time at SM is showing here. Ziyin and Chaehyun combo gave me goosebumps several times. Shana singing with confidence is just top tier. Her voice is so clear. I hope Jiyoon doesn't lose confidence. She was the only one in the team that could reach that high note, unfortunately her voice cracked a little bit, but the rest was flawless.

That is what you call well trained vocalists. Vocalists that know what they are doing know how to sing with others and meld their voices in harmony. Even when the first time it doesn’t seem to match, you work at it keep singing and it will. But you also have to have two ppl who can hit both notes every time. So if it’s a killing part high note harmony, it’s not wise to choose a person who only hits the note half the time or it’s hard for them to hit it, ya know? But I agree the harmony was beautiful, they did very well. Although I liked the girl that closed the song out, I don’t think she should have been given the high note. Shana(?), Shania(?) or the girl I’m front of her. They have the range….🤷🏻‍♀️

It's not just that they're trained, it's because their timbres (vocal tone/qualities) are very different from each other which makes a lovely contrast 😊 If you notice around 1:18 leading into Chaehyuns part, Ziyin sets up the contrast so well, as we just heard a deeper/fuller sound which makes Chaehyun's clear and light tone even more angelic sounding

@@marjomete6943 more than high notes it's about the feel which we get from IU's song so much being IU that it's very hard to even match or come near thus despite many idols tried her songs none could give the fullest feeling like she gives while singing her own songs. Also IU's voice made it seem her songs are easier but it is difficult if we try to sing because her songs are not only high notes but also have a range of notes, poetic words and have playfulness. But they still did very good covering, last part ara~~ felt the emotions
