Just adding a comment for people like me who do look at this section as well to get an idea. Legato is such a fun thumping listen. At this price point, it's bound to add a uniqueness on the sound-signature spectrum of IEMs that you may own. Let's take the 'Explosive' from David Garrett, Royal PhilHarmonic orchestra; Legato sparkles. The details are pretty decent, bounded together by a fun musicality that I like. Or the exuberant Metal romp that is 'Angst' from Rammstien. It's fab listen. It dragged me back to the 80's sound - the days of the big speaker boxes and sub-woofers. To get that 'old' sound in an IEM is quite something. So, for some of us, Legato is nostalgia. For younger listeners, this sound can be 'new', and fresh. It's not expensive; i would say go for it. The mids aren't too recessed (if you take the wide-bore eartip), and it flows rather nicely. So, it's not as if you can only listen heavy bassy numbers. It's quite fun musical experience.

@@TheRebelLion13 Oh nice. Incidentally, I bought the S&S tips last evening! I am using it on my Dunu Titan S; lovely they are. Didn't realise eartips can make such noticeable difference in sound quality itself. I essentially got them for comfort and to see if the hype about sound changes is real. I won't say greater isolation than the originals but that could be due to what you mention above - the sizing down. I went with the Medium one. perhaps, the small size would give me that isolation. And Didn't think of trying on Legato - should try.

Intresting development. I tried these tips with simgot ea500. Makes it worse. Shrill Treble, very noticeable even in voice in videos. (Was hearing reviews and podcast). That's not the fault of the eartip but the ea500. These eartips do state they extend the Treble. I have sidelined ea500s only for EDM, and guess for that need to get them back on their original eartips ..

Well i was listening to Walkmans and sony single dynamic driver earphones back in the 90s so i naturally love the warm bass heavy speaker sound

Just recieved the 7hz legato today and this review is spot on...i am using the shanling m6 pro 21 and they pair exceptionally well with shanlings house sound which is a warm sound, if you have the m6 pro 21 and can switch from double to dac to single dac then do so, i think has something to do with THD being less, it brings out the bass even more !! They sound just like my technics speakers from the 80s, to hell with the technicalitys these are meant to sound like oldskool speakers and they certainly do, that bass is tremendous !!

I wanted to try the Fatreq Maestro's but no way could afford that so bought these and they got my basshead approval. If they're anything like the Fatfreq's I'm pleased. Still would like to try the Fatfreq's... I'll have to leave to to the Honest Audiophile to perhaps try them at some point and make the comparison! :D

Hi, how does the legato weight without the cables? I just got mine and was surprise its light for a dual DD and compared to my other dual DD KZ castor which not all metal build.

TRI Meteor but it doesn't have quite the bass presence. I can't think of an IEM that has the bass of the Legato that I've heard.

I came here really late and wondering, how does it perform for watching action movies. I currently use titan S (bright-neutral + forward vocals) looking for a very different tuning would you suggest this over the truthear zero red

The Legato is a fun listen for action movies. The Zero Red is more balanced and cohesive and not as bassy but would be adequate for action movies as well. For action movies I would choose the Legato but for everything else I would choose the Zero Red.

Hi How is legato compare to i3 pro in terms of resolution and high frequency? I got legato and i wanna know if it’s worth it to get i3 pro I listen to electronic and rock

I3 Pro has peaking in the uppers and are more aggressive. The I3 Pro is slightly better detailed and similar resolution. Truthfully I would take the Tri Meteor over the I3 Pro.

There are better options for gaming but for a casual game the Legato is adequate.

So it sounds like the Truthear Zero does the same thing better at half the price.

TruthEar Zero doesn't have near the bass impact or extension that the Legato has. The mids are more forward on the Zero but are also more aggressive and the treble is hot and harsh. The Zero has a wider stage and the Legato has slightly better details and resolution. I would take the Legato over the Zero.

@@TheHonestAudiophile Oh wow, the bass on the Legato must be awesome, indeed! Yeah, I'd be happy to take a little bit off the treble of the Zero (I'm not particularly treble sensitive and prefer a bright signal to a dark one, but the Zero can be a bit much). Thanks for the concise comparison!
