Though only released in 2013, this was recorded in Kansas City around 1972-73. It's a shame that this wasn't released back then because this is brilliance! Having more than a few of their compilations, all that I can say is thank God for the Numero Group because they've unearthed a lot of rare gems, including 2 of Lyn Collins 1st 2 recordings with Charles Pike & The Scholars.

From what I've researched, this was recorded around 1972/73 at Cavern Sound in Independence, Missouri. It remained unreleased with most of the tracks recorded by Jerald Scott & his various groups, The Unnatural Funk Band & Bump And The Soul Stompers. Numero released this as a B-Side single in 2013. In 2022, this track was released on the CD "Our Music" by The Bump Band Featuring Bump Funk, "Bump Funk" being none other than Jerald Scott. The CD contains tracks from a 1983 LP which was never released & the CD includes this song, but using the name "The Bump Band". The Bump Band was basically the same group as The Unnatural Funk Band/Bump & The Stompers, give or take a member or 2. Unfortunately, Wanda Byrd, the woman who is co-lead vocalist on this song, passed away, but no info was given about the date of her passing.
