To channel 7, I take my hat off for allowing comments on KZbin! Incredibly important to support free speech and dialog. Sadly, too many channels turn comments off an inhibit our ability to express how we feel and have a voice. So, thankyou! And also thankyou for actually covering stories such as this. While heart breakingly painful, it is also incredibly painful that the world sees the pain and suffering of Israeli's who have been through a "double hell", not only enduring the pain of the initial crimes but then being told it "didn't happen" or worse still, that they're the "perpetrators". That's what I've never understood, people attack Israel for the response to 7/10 but who else would put up with living like that for decades?!?! A daily barrage of rockets, bomb shelters?!!? It amazes me that Hamas wasn't taken out 10 years ago, the level of restraint and lack of desire to shed innocent blood, on the part of Israel, is incredibly commendable. Also, it's becoming clear that Qatar has acted criminally, from funding Hamas, from hosting it's criminal leaders, through to funding misinformation through the likes of Al Jazeera, through to funding the universities and anti-antisemitism on many US and other nation's campus's. Then there's their pressure/backing for the UN, again taking place in Doha, their continual seeking to propagate terrorism and incite violence. They try and masquerade Al Jazeera as being "intellectual" or "western" and yet also target a typical Arab/Muslim audience yet the truth is becoming clearer. Sadly, unlikely that anyone would dare to confront their behavior, including potential abuse of staff, as there would inevitably be severe consequences!

@@calypso146 it’s because this “government taking responsibility” talking point is political subterfuge that originated with Hamas, specifically to obfuscate themselves as the ones who bear the sole blame for all the torture, r*pes, murders and kidnappings that occurred on Oct 7th. Israel’s failures in defence are simply that, a defence failure, to try and pretend they share equal guilt with Hamas is absurd. In the court of law there’s a reason why “negligence resulting in death” is an entirely different charge to “first degree murder”. This false equivalency is just pro-Hamas propaganda. Israelis are doing exactly what they should be, focusing on finding the remaining hostages and taking steps to completely wipe out the t*rrorist organisation that threatens their fellow citizens, there is no “defence strategy” greater than that. Remove Hamas and something like Oct 7th can never happens again. Only when all this is dealt with could anyone justify taking away the government and military’s resources and immediate focus to investigate the extent of the defence failures on Oct 7th and whether anyone should be prosecuted for negligence. Pro-Hamas supports are intentionally trying to stir calls for this prematurely, because it redirects focus away from themselves. Away from the hostages they still have. Away from the rockets they keep firing at Israel. Away from their attempts to slaughter all Israeli soldiers out there to search for the hostages while trying to protect all Israeli citizens by removing the very threat that openly promises for Oct 7th to be “the first of many”. It’s pretty clear why this takes precedence over an internal investigation over prior defence failures right now.

All the problems that followed resulted from the Arab refusal to accept the existence of any Jewish state, no matter how small. The land Israel ended up getting was only half of what they'd been promised, but they accepted it, and the Arabs still went to war with them and tried to annihilate them. They lost, but have never accepted that military loss and its consequences.
